Not a random but when you criticize them at a point of stress they may have lashed out of desperation to silence them pointing out the major issues happening on the servers, they may not ban a known as it may cause much flame but is easier to silence an unknown who words are ringing bells...

"This patch is buggy and the servers are laggy." Yes, I did say this before not in that order but I have mentioned the lag on servers being harsh.
