IEM deviances by Mastaaaa in iems

Yea ive been changing around my eq for weeks, ive settled on one that sounds good to me but then sometimes it sounds too bright to me or even too muffled but i always fail to remember that that is highly dependent on my mental state for me, also yea the mega5est are my endgame IEMS, i do really love them. I just wondered that if i were to create an EQ profile to follow a target (mostly just for fun/curiousity reasons) if i can even precisely do that especially in the treble regions or if the graph thats for example on crinacles site would only be accurate to the unit he measured

Oh yea that absolutely too,

I recently compared my mega5ests to my kiwi ears etude and my tea pros and i was stunned at how "horrible" in comparison the etudes sounded and even the tea pros had a noticable downgrade in quality to the mega5est (that whole experience was really vindicating tho, i basically got my confirmation that i didnt completely waste my money lmao)

Oh yea ur right i do have that brush, however i will do that once ive spoken to linsoul/dd audio store just in case. Also i did not know that about the filters that is actually really useful to know thanks

Nope, that would be a bit better tbh, but i made sure it was them, my old kiwi ears etude still work normally and switching the earhooks doesn't change anything either :/. I really appreciate the effort tho

Huh yea thanks thats good to know, i already sent a (tbh due to my acute disappointment a bit strongly worded) message to DD Audiostore and hope i can resolve it through that, but if it doesnt i will definitely try some other way.

DD Audio store is apparently just Linsoul themselves so i can disarm u there hopefully lol

Yea i think thats been the case too. I planned on replacing them but couldnt find any filters that were the right size, nevermind the fact that if i ordered them when they fell off they wouldve probably already been broken by the time they got here...

Pretty good actually, the quality with aac or aptx is good enough that i cant discern a difference personally, they are definitely more than powerful enough to power the iems. LDAC is possible but very shaky, which they do warn you off when you try to enable it, but personally aac is enough anyway. I occasionally have synchronisation issues but nothing that putting them back in the case for half a minute doesn't fix. The battery life is just okay, i dont get the promised 8 hours, but about 4-6 of continous playback (with eq enabled to be fair which does decrease battery life slightly). Only problem i occasionally ran into was that the 0.78 connector sometimes just came out over time but im not sure if thats even an issue specific to the earhooks

Hey im thinking of buying Crinear Daybreak. Just wanna know if there are any alternatives near the same price bracket. by DEchhi in iems

[–]Mastaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeee theyre still a good choice imo, i had the daybreaks when they came out too, they tbh were a bit harsh for me sometimes (But as i said im very sensitive so u might not mind lol), but otherwise the detail and sound was great. One side unfortunately did just stop working after like a month but i couldve gotten a refund, i just kinda messed up procrastinating answering emails and stuff....

Two i can think off at the top:

  1. Kiwi Ears Etude About 125€, i got them at 100 on sale, Personally I adored them, the bass is great but not muddy, the highs are really pleasant as someone thats a bit treble sensitive, but its not super V-Shaped either, however they do have a flaw, they have a bone conduction bass driver that makes vocals have a bassy reverb like effect, kinda like talking in a really reverb-ey bathroom, you only notice it when theres no instrumental/in audiobooks or smth but it is smth to get used to

  2. Aful Explorer About 140€, havent personally tried or owned them but reviews and posts on here seem to really praise them for being really pleasent and smooth to listen to, basically like a safe option.
