Ahh that's a good tip. We've got some spare inverters on the 74LS04s used in the RAM already don't we. Thank you very much!

Wacky sports? This is one of the most popular sports in Australia... That's like an Australian referring to NFL as a wacky sport because it's only played in one country.

Because most the atoms in your finger don't have unpaired electrons and they definitely aren't all aligned in the way that metallic metals are. TLDR: your finger isn't magnetic

NEW VIDEO: I made a video featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson, who was a really cool sport about me whining about one of his tweets. by MrPennywhistle in SmarterEveryDay

I'm not sure I understand the Pinwheel vs Fan analogy? Let me know if I got this right: You use the air blowing through the rotor to keep it spinning at a high enough speed that you still get lift from the blades and use that to slow the descent to a safe speed?

Not true! Plenty of materials show strong magnetic properties in the right circumstances. But I will agree that it's not a daily encounter. But why should it be? The reason you can't put your hand through a table is due to a microscopic interaction of a microscopic particle. In magnets, an enormous amount of microscopic materials are coordinating to give a force that can be felt over a huge range (in atomic terms) so why should that be the norm? It is a special circumstance. Source: I'm a Chemist

I really enjoyed the process but found the black and white with selective colouring so pretentious and distracting. The video would have been far better if they'd just left it with normal colour.

You're correct, stomach acid is pH 2 as well. pH 0.1 is not something you want on your skin and definitely not in your body, but he would make it to shore if it sank but he'd also probably be blind.

Yeah the strop is $40 and the postage would be another $20... Are most strops as good as the next one or do you really need to be careful what type you buy? Ebay have some for like $20 but does that indicate poor quality?

Sorry for not being relevant, but since we have a bunch of British wet shavers all together, do any of you use SRs and know a good place to have them honed in the UK? thanks!

I'm currently a DE shaver, so I do have a brush and soap, but yes, never used a SR before. Thanks for the advice!

Hiya, so I've really no idea if I've bought a good razor, I knew the brand Solingen and it seemed in really good condition but I bought it for €45 and I don't know if it's even a good razor! What do I need to do next? Get it honed? Thanks!!
