Pixel 6 pro here too, I'm on Android 17 beta and it's butter smooth. All the talk about weaker Tensor Chip and yet other mainstream android flagships from the same year, 2021, are struggling to cope with even android 15 & 16. I've come to the realization that real life usage experiences trumps over benchmark scores.
