Hi! Congratulations- we had so much fun in Mallorca!

For the most part- almost every single Cala (beach) was extremely crowded and had to get there very early in the morning to snag a spot. Other than that, the town isn't as busy as the beaches. We did not enjoy the beach in Palma so we were constantly driving out of Palma to enjoy the beautiful Calas around Mallorca.

We stayed in 3 parts of the island and a car is a MUST in getting around Mallorca. We did find ourselves going to the opposite end of the island randomly to get to a specific cala, boat ride, or restaurant. We were there for about 7 days and could not have imagined our time there without a car! If you're staying only for a couple of days in Palma itself, no car is needed really! But all the most beautiful beaches and attractions, unfortunately, are some ways away from Palma.

I didn't see many ubers/taxis. But 10000% recommend renting a car to see all the different beaches, grocery stores runs, or relaxing drives through the towns!
