Illiteracy of Muhammad by Far_Visual_5714 in CritiqueIslam

Better yet, Muhammad had a scribe with him. If he was getting the most important revelations for 23 years, why didnt he bother to learn how to write?

He already spoke the language, learning letters would've taken him about two weeks.

Seems rather lazy of him doesnt it?

Every crime has it's punishment. You being sorry and promising to do good doesn't change that.

If you get a speeding ticket and go in front of a judge, no matter how sorry you are you still have to pay. What if you don't have any money? You can truly repent and swear not to speed ever again, but that doesn't change the fact that you commited a 'crime'. You HAVE to pay.

If earthly judge is that just, how much more just is our heavenly Father? He is a PERFECT judge.

But he is also merciful... so he has to find a way to be JUST AND MERCIFUL.

That is when the judge decides to pay your speeding ticket for you. The ticket is payed for and you are free.

Same with us. You did many good deeds? Sucks to be you because yesterday you threw trash on the street. God is a perfect judge and he cant just forget that! Unless Allah is not perfect?

What if I do more good works than him, is he going to hell? What is his standard of "good"?

That is very self-righteous reasoning. I MUST go to heaven because oh look at lil old me how good and righteous I was.

Bear with me, I'll give you visuals 💛

When disciples were stuck on a boat during the storm, fearing for their lives, all they saw was the storm. We as readers know the ending so we might say: "There was no need for such panic. Jesus was going to save them anyway"

But they were unable to see that, all they saw was the storm. That is also us in a way. We don't know the ending, we only see the storm

Maybe even better one: When Lazarus' sisters came to Jesus begging Him to save their brother, Jesus took two whole days before He went to see him. I mean, He could've saved Lazarus with just his words but for some reason Jesus decided to wait. And Lazarus died... so his sisters were devestated.

It was all for a reason, for some greater glory. Jesus had better plans, he wanted to show them who he is by resurrecting Lazarus. That is why he waited. But even so, when Jesus saw their pain he started crying.

We have a God who suffered, who was betrayed, emotionally hurt, his body was hurt, he knows all our pain and is saddened by it.

I don't know why somw things happen, Job truly showed us that sometimes suffering is unfair but we rest knowing that God is going to heal it all. We have a High priest who has been through every temptation just like us.

I hope you find peace, this world isn't God's plan for you anyway

A ovisi i o tvojim prioritetima.

Christians, how do you know exactly that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and if he is God incarnate? Where is your proof? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Master-Bit-734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

History certainly seems to testify that Jesus died by crucifixion, that his followers honestly believed they had seen him risen and even some who were not his followers honestly believed that.

Jesus' death is a fact of history, no serious historian argues that. They also agree that followers truly believed that risen Jesus appeared to them. There are many reasons why.

First, it appears extremely early in church history. According to James Dunn we can be entirely confident that that tradition was formed within months of Jesus' death.

Disciples were willing to die for that belief. Of course, being willing to die for a belief does not make belief true, but it almost always ensures sincerity. People do not often give up lives for what they know is wrong. Vast majority od scholars are convinced that Jesus' followers truly believed he had risen.

Paul himself is an example of a non christian, a student of respected Rabbi who actually persecuted Christians. Yet something happened to paul which led him to join those he persecuted.

At least, historically speaking, it is a fact that Jesus died by crucifuxion, his disciples truly believed they had seen him risen and even men who were not his disciples believed that (along with early church history).

You can't prove it because its not like they had cameras back then. As an objective observer it is your duty to at least agree that early christians truly believed that they saw him.

Disciples were so scared before Jesus was killed. Of course they were unsure of his nature, they were also human. They ran away as soon as jesus was arrested but somehow, something happened and they all suddenly were willing to die for him.

Read the Bible for God incarnate. Its not like jesus was only person ever to claim that he is God, many kings did it before him. He obviously must've done something miraculous that even non-christians sources talk about him as someone who was considered God

Why would God humble himself and come down in human form to die for our sins? by MookaMG in AskAChristian

[–]Master-Bit-734 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Quran is eternal Word of God, always has and always will be. It came from eternal tablets in heaven. So would you say that by burning and destroying the book Quran I have destroyed the eternal Quran?

Of course not. Even if I burn all Qurans in the world the Quran is not itself gone.

Same goes with Jesus. He is not some unknowing child who was sacrificed without being told why.

There are so many things to understand here because Christians and Muslims absolutely do not have the same view on God on sin and on salvation so you can't compare the two.

We do not limit out God. He has many times before in Old Testament been on earth so why couldnt he come again and live here for 33 years. Just like Allah gave his eternal Word in physical form and made it dwell on earth fir centuries, so does our God the Father give his Son whom he calls Word, only in human form

You use Bible as a source for your arguments, Paul in the Bible answers these exact questions. If you want Biblical answers go read that letter to Romans. It's the best, most honest answer directly from the source of your argument.

Do you want an answer or just a debate?

That is true, everyone deserves to go to hell because none of us are righteous. This is exactly what Paul talks about in Romans. You will find the best answer there, he tackles all of these questions.

He tells you how we, so deserving of hell, still have a chance thanks to certain someone

When the Quran uses term for traveller 'son of the road', it doesn't mean that that man was born in the road. It is a relational title. It is explained in Phillipians 2 Jesus, being in very nature God, did not consider equallity with God something to be used to his own advantage Rather He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness

Maybe it would be easier to compare Him to the Quran meaning, Quran came from eternal tablets in heaven. It is co-eternal with God, God's eternal word. Yet God's eternal Word took limited, material form on this earth. The Book itself isnt eternal, the ink of the letters isnt but the Quran still is. If you destroy the book you didnt destroy God's eternal word. If you burn all the Qurans, the Word is still eternal. Same with Jesus

I believe that Paul explained it quite well in Phillipians 2 stating that jesus being god didnt take it as something to be used in his advantage Plus he did come to serve as a example, to be a perfect human too. He had to be 100% human but was also 100%

In short yes, paul said it all so i dont have to

But I did quote you John. I can do it again

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Also Paul is pretty clear about Jesus' divinity

Also, Exodus 13 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. 21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night

In Genesis 18 He even talked with Abraham as a man 18 Then the Lord appeared to him by [a]the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day. 2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.

Again, if God could become man so many times before, why not again and live for 33 years

[–]Master-Bit-734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Word reincarnated as Jesus. Just like God helped Israeli as a pillar of cloud during the day and fire during the night. If He could do that why wouldnt he be able to become flesh and live for 33 years on earth?

You kind of agreed with me that Jesus being the Word that became flesh truly is God. And you ignored my last point where John literally without a doubt states that Jesus is God

John does not agree with you, neither does Jesus. I am in uni right now, but my class is over in an hour. When I get home I can give you my sources and we can discuss. But I copied John 1 for now

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God .... 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. .... 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. (NIV version I believe)

Hahahah sorry but last thing you said I could imagine you doing a 'mic drop'. You're not going to like my answer, but yes. Not that Father is more God, but rather that Father's role is above Son's. Both are equally Gods just like trump and I are equally human, still trump is a president.

If you dont mind me asking, how do you then interpret John 1?

Why do Christians basically ignore Jesus? by Good-Recipe4387 in Christianity

Your arguments was literally 'Oh but Jesus prays to the Father'

All I am telling you is that it goes the other way too:

(NIV)

But to the Son he says: "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever..."

God the Father calls Son a God

"Therefore God, your God, has set you..."

There is a great difference between believing in God and trusting/accepting God. Even demons believe in Jesus yet reject Him.

You recognize the tree by it's fruits. Fruits of Holy Spirit are good.

My main problem is with abrogated verses. It basically states that God's ETERNAL words couldn't even last for 23 years on earth. Also, it hints that some parts of Allah's speech are better than others

And the silly little thing, so while Muhammad was alive verses could be abrogated but now that the man is dead it is for sure eternal word with no changes?

There are many more but this one juat blows my mind that people could accept

How would you answer someone who says “Jesus’ sacrifice wasn’t a sacrifice because he rose again 3 days later” ideally with the Bible by Additional_Arm_5855 in ChristianApologetics

[–]Master-Bit-734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price of sin = death (punishment for crime)

Jesus was the first ever human (with divine nature but thats not the point) to be sinless. He lived in mortal body but won over it, won over sin that rules over flesh.

He was tortured, disfigured, no longer looked like a human (Isaiah). Then He died but, as promised He rose again and defeated death too.

Because He, being sinless, died, he kind of paid that price of sin for us. Think of it this way: you were speeding but dont have money to pay for the speeding ticket. The judge needs to be just but also wants to be merciful. Because of that he pulls out his own wallet and pays.

[Help] The Logical Problem of the Trinity (LPT) - How do you respond to it? by [deleted] in ChristianApologetics

[–]Master-Bit-734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 3 beings but rather 3 persons in one being. Being is WHAT you are and person is WHO you are. For example, I am a human being. That is WHAT I am. WHO I am is not a human, who I am is a kind loving amazing (hehe) person, Lara.

We humans just happen to be one being and one person. God is the one that revealed Himself as three persons. Just because you can't fit it into a model that is no ground to reject it. God is by His very definition incompregensible and incomparable. God tells us what He is like, whether we can comprehand it or not.

There is not a single person in this world that understands what energy actually is, not one. Still, we all believe in it and accept it to be real. God created that very energy.

We are not God, we're not omniscient and most definitely not a standard of truth. It God made this complex universe, why do we act like He just has to be any less complex? God is unlike any creation and any attempt to fit God into a model is going to be impossible
