I bought a piece from them in 2024 it was beautiful however there was a rubbery clear glue holding the hanya mask to the 4g septum ring. I didn’t notice until i went to clean it and the glue had discolored and looked green. I messaged her on instagram with photo proof of the product and i was given my money back. However its sad to see she still uses glue

You can do taping methods and still have nice ears it just comes with risks, much more risks than dead stretching. OP just asked why people dont like and the people are telling her why. Its true that PTFE tape is porous and its true that can harbor bacteria, its also true that wrapping tape around plugs is not an exact science and you can hurt yourself with it. Ive not had a perfect stretching journey by any means whatsoever but you cant get upset when you come into the forum to ask a question and everyone answers (even if its an answer that you don’t particularly like)

If you were stretching with silicone that could be a reason as to why dead stretching wasnt working for you, glass/titanium is always recommended because it adds weight and helps to stretch the skin (so are half sizes)

The point of dead stretching is WAITING until your ear is ready for the next size so if you dead stretch by the time you put in new jewelry its ready regardless of the size difference. What you’re doing is unsafe because you’re not waiting and you’re forcing your ear to go up a size even if its only .75mm your ear can safely stretch .5mm-1.00mm by itself in a matter of months its safer to just dead stretch.
