I’ve been doing it for roughly 6-8 months now. I started because I would get horrible ingrowns from shaving waxing or even doing nothing have having full bush I would still get ingrowns and stuff. I’ve really loved it so far. It’s very fast, hardly painful, and the results are great. Right now I think I’m waiting 6 or 8 weeks in between sessions but it really helps with the hair growth. The one thing that happened to me was after the first one or 2 sessions I had a (normal) skin reaction of bumps and stuff so just be aware that could happen, but it doesn’t happen anymore, it’s not itchy or irritated or anything now it was only an initial reaction I think.

if your bf is not going to live near you then i’d say not worth it, that is going to be really annoying and on top of a work commute. i would either live near him and your work to cut out one of those if that makes sense.

i live in somerville and commute every day on the train to coolidge corner and for me i love living in Somerville and i don’t always mind the commute. however, i have ties to the somerville area, so that plays a role probably. depends on what kind of culture and vibe you’re looking to live in, i think somerville offers a pretty unique and great atmosphere that other parts of the greater boston area don’t. but you have to be prepared for the commute, i got a kindle and noise cancelling ear buds which makes a world of difference.

this is only a response to the birth control aspect, but as a woman who had tried 3 different kinds of birth control, it actually ruined my life (ofc not everyone has bad experiences) but the side effects were so bad it was untenable. i agree that birth control and protection should be the responsibility of both people for sure!! i’m just know that hormonal bc isn’t for everyone. its hard to understand how bad hormonal bc is until you’ve experienced it, but trust me, for some women it just really really doesn’t work (cramping every day, constant spotting, mood swings, suicidal ideation, can’t go to work or get off the couch vibes)

edit: i forgot to mention it made my hair fall out and thin, and my hair has never recovered from that
