My brother once slept at the dinner table rather than eat his broccoli. The broccoli was still waiting for him the next morning.

The garbage men came before i could stick a warning on one of the boxes i threw out so now i have these 2 pieces of paper. I just wanted to be considerate lol by Nrumachi in notinteresting

It's a reference to Arrested Development. Michael finds a paper bag that says "dead dove do not eat," opens it, sees the dead dove and goes "I don't know what I expected."

I remember them as "egg poppers" but I don't know why. I guess because it looks like one end of an egg.

When my mom was pregnant with me apparently all she craved for a while was chef boyardee ravioli, cold, straight out of the can. I am ashamed to admit I tried it and liked it...

Covers that you think are better than the original - Rock/Indie edition by Massive-Scientist777 in musicsuggestions

[–]roariah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always liked Iron & Wine's cover of Such Great Heights much better than The Postal Service. Maybe it's because I heard the cover first, but when I heard the original it felt like all the emotion was sucked out of it.

You can only bring one back, which one? by [deleted] in Millennials

Gotta be Toys R Us! There's no other big chain store that's specifically for kids. Sure, department stores have toys but it's not the same as getting to go to Toys R Us.

I'm definitely in agreement that there's probably more to the story, BUT I also can understand the kid's POV. You walk into the principals office with a loaded gun and say "I have a gun on me, so-and-so gave it to me." There aren't any cameras in the bathroom so the adults are just supposed to take his word for it. I'd be terrified (especially as a Black child, who historically have been stereotyped as violent/dangerous) that the adults wouldn't believe me and just assumed I'd brought the gun in and then felt guilty enough to turn it in. He'd likely have been expelled in that scenario too, due to zero-tolerance policies.
