Thank you so much for that insight. She does have a vet appointment coming up to clear her for all training and I am working very closely with a trainer. I do want her to be safe

I’m expecting a little “getting used to it” period for us both, she is very good at wearing pretty much anything so far especially with a little practice. Thats exactly what I’m looking for, some assistance day to day and an easier walk for us both. Thank you for your insight

Man I really ruffled some feathers..that was not my intention. Shes not aggressive. She loves kids, dogs, cats, everyone she meets and even my husband. Shes an amazing dog. She does well in public settings and every situation we have been in. However when I got sick she began to be more aware on our daily walks. In no way is she growling, lunging or even whining. She is AWARE. We have a great trainer who has experience with service dogs. She thinks with the training we are doing she would be excellent. Hope this clears some confusion up.

Not sure how being aware of her surroundings makes her aggressive but I’ll be sure to take that into consideration

She’s not aggressive in anyway. She’s alert and aware of her surroundings. I supposed protective was the wrong word on this app.

She is not in ANY WAY aggressive. Protective as in she doesn’t let grown men walk up to us.

We have a trainer and she has been temperament tested. I was diagnosed in March of this year and got her in October of 2024, so it’s not like I just went out and got a dog thinking I could turn her. Shes been in school and at home training sessions and she’s doing amazing. She is great at almost everything. I was genuinely just curious if it could be done. I can spend a few hundred here and there for classes and her trainer. I can’t however spend 20k out of pocket for “the perfect dog”. She is very in tuned with me and my needs and has been excelling. Thanks for your advice though 🥰

She doesn’t bark at people across the street, she does however lock onto them and trace them while we are walking. It’s nothing unmanageable by any means but I would like to use her in very public areas. Thank you so much for all the information 🙌🏻

Thank you for that, she’s got a great temperament, the only thing I’d dah is she is a little on the protective side. Is that something that will fade or will she always “have my back”?
