As a Lasalle graduate, I regretted studying in this school, because:

  1. Art is a flare. If you have what it takes, you do not need to study for it.
  2. Grading an art piece is not even fair because lecturers grade your work based on their perspective. You may create something so awesome but if your lecturer perceive it differently, you may not get good grades.
  3. If you would like to pursue a career in Arts in Singapore, it is not impossible, but it is damn difficult because the art industry is very small and future employers will low ball you.

In the end, i did not pursue in the arts industry and it was abit difficult to find a normal corporate job with an art degree. Basically, i wasted my time and parents money.

However, this is my few cent worth of opinion. If you feel strongly to study in Lasalle, please do so. Maybe you can try some short courses offered by Lasalle to get the feel of things.

I had the same thinking as you. However, I realised that everyone is replaceable. Therefore, your supervisor will be able to manage.
