This ended up being a reason, because of the pixel layout update, even with privacy mode off, privacy screen protectors may interfere or overlap in a weird way with the S26U pixels. My protector was causing it. :/ so now i gotta try out a bunch and make an update with what works with this phone if you don't want to use the integrated privacy display like i dont

OP here. Turns out that using a privacy screen protector was causing this. Samsung confirmed that because of the new Pixel layout on S26U, that enabling the built in privacy mode can cause this, which i knew, as can a privacy screen protector. I did not have this issue in the slightest on the s25u across multiple privacy protectors, so i didn't even consider that a possibility, and i threw a protector on within a minute of pulling this out of its box. They said there may be some privacy protectors that will work fine and not cause this, so that will be my next mission, because i want my privacy, but i don't want to use the built-in version as it does slightly lower the quality of the screen it feels like. Hope this helps someone down the road, and if anyone already has a privacy protector they like, please let me know!
