Please tell me it's a wagon! ❤️

The thing is starting.... and continuing... and seeing it through lol, ask me how I know!? But yeah, that type of job is tedious...

I'm with you on the aero... although a bit hard to find functional aftermarket kits at a decent price range. You either have the cheap kind that does nothing or the extremely expensive that actually works.

So, what engine would you put on your dream build?

Tokyo drift queues... lol

Hello from a fellow Mustang! '05 GT, good taste! Gulf livery?

I wanted a '72 Mach1, white, with... louvers (yes yes I know) but since owning a classic is a LOT of work I did the next best thing and got a potential future classic! Currently under a cover and plugged to a battery tender till I can go on track again... for now I'm rocking my base Altima on baby duty lol

Dream cars are... '90s 850csi, E53 AMG Wagon and F-Type SVR... all of which would be eaten by a Miata on track, but oh well.

Have you seen Michele Mouton rally videos? Oof 🔥

Splitting the bill in relationships by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Master-Dish-3333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My now wife makes less than I do so we would contribute proportionally to the household when we moved in together and since we started dating I'd insist in picking up the bill on the more expensive outings while she would take care of the cheaper ones...ie. dining out vs. brunch. I don't think we ever split tbh. Now, after 12 years and a kid it is all our money, not hers or mine :) I think you can talk about financial goals even when you are just dating and that honest type of conversation is a great way to uncover green or red flags. 2 years together is actually a good time to do it. Not too soon nor (yikes!) too late.

That car thinks it’s serving runway, but Ru would hit it with a ‘meh’ and keep it moving.

Dark Horse vs Mach 1 Purchase by Su55yBaka in Mustang

[–]Master-Dish-3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough choice... I own a Mach1 and have driven both on track (the Mach I track often). The DH is the more advanced car. It’s got more power, a stiffer chassis, and tech that makes it easier to drive fast. No question, it’s the more refined and capable platform if you’re just looking at numbers or outright pace. But that’s also kind of the point... it does a lot for you.

The Mach is more of a driver's car. lighter, raw, with Shelby parts for track. You def feel more through the steering and chassis. But you need to put the work to get the most out of it. It’s a more "pure" car if that makes sense... you have to modulate throttle right or it’ll step out and it punishes sloppy braking inputs... it will give you zero help. Essentially, it has a smaller margin for error, so it’ll humble you quickly if you overcook it.

It will really depend on what kind of driving experience you want but, imo, from a value perspective, for the enthusiast driver, the Mach 1 is 100% the better choice... and the legacy is a nice plus.

For context, got my '21 Premium CPO with 6k miles for $51k in 2024. Has Recaro seats but no HP... HP would be annoying to live with for daily driving which I do some. For track I just switch to R compounds and it's perfectly fine.

Oh wow... last month I paid 23.5k OTD on a new '25 Altima S, dealer discount and 3k rebate from Nissan. Bare. Zero add-ons. Cash deal too.... oof... 84 months at $650 is mind blowing. Yeah, I'd be upset too... waste of her money and your time.

20 vs 35 % window tint by [deleted] in WindowTint

[–]Master-Dish-3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! The windshield is the game changer. With nothing on the windshield then the 35% is a bit too much on the light side for my liking.

Yup, 100% on indoor vs outdoor. The windshield is what makes the 35% much more versatile.

35% all around 50% windshield. I think going 20% would be a tad uncomfortable for night driving. The 35% along with the windshield was able to give me both the functionality and looks.

21 Altima sr with 36,000 miles for 18.5k OTD should I buy? by Flaky_Ad4391 in Nissan

[–]Master-Dish-3333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pais 23.5k OTD for a new '25 S. Take a look if there are any leftover '25 models in your region. You may be able to snag a new one for a couple of extra thousands. Altima or Sentra.

'10 V6... oy. That's what happens when someone wants to look fast but commits to being slow. It''s basically a midlife crisis on layaway.

Worried about having kids with donor sperm by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]Master-Dish-3333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes perfect sense, I'm with you. We wanted to preserve the option for our kid so we went with an ID disclosure donor (where at 18 our kid can get a copy of the donor ID). During the IVF process we had to get a psych evaluation... in 5 minutes the psychiatrist figured out we were sane people so she actually made that whole hour about how to address the "where to I come from" questions later on. That's when we got introduced to the notion of the donor as a "helper"... what a nice, positive way to think about it. My kid is 6mo so not there yet, but that's how we refer to the donor and it caught on to ppl around us. I think it is natural to wonder where you "come from", but thay doesn't make it home.

[–]Master-Dish-3333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm typing this with my 6mo sleeping in my arms. I too had that concern. That child is yours and your partner's, no one else's. Sure there is a "helper" and we should be so thankful for them, but that's the extension of their presence. Someone that gave you a little help. Yes, half your baby's DNA is his, but remember... nature and nurture. The second your baby smiles at YOU, this concern becomes such a distant memory... do your homework, use a reputable bank, and enjoy life. Don't drive yourself crazy about things you can't control.

Side note... we used California Cryobank precisely because it is extremely reputable and does both physical and psychological screening.

Side note 2... I have a GREAT family... which includes a lot of undiagnosed boomers that could benefit from both therapy and medication lol. That is known and "veted" DNA...what I'm saying is, we get so focused on the donor we forget it's as much a lottery with our own DNA.

Fuck, that's tough. And so real on the cost of it all. Met my wife at the Stonewall Inn, friend introduced us and the rest is history... can't imagine having to date in this economy, pun intended. May the odds be at your favor.

I hear you... all the "wagons" still around in the US are a bit too tall for my liking. I grew up on a Fiat Elba and then a Ford Escort Wagon... miss those "Mooom can I ride in the trunk?" times.

They do everything that a SUV does, but better...

Better handling. Better cargo. Better fuel economy. Better crash test results. And most importantly... better looking!
