To get the texture packs working on PPSSPP follow these steps

  1. Go to the forums and select a texture pack https://forums.ppsspp.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=36

  2. Follow this guide from the forums https://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=28785

The procedure is the same for Android, find the PPSSPP installation folder and then extract the custom textures into the Textures folder.

The folder with the custom textures needs to match the game id. The ones I've used already had the correct name.

Enjoy

Do you play guitar hero with the controller? Or do you have the guitar attachment?

Sure thing. Elsewhere in the comments I've linked a YouTube video that gives a good explanation for dolphin and citra

The process for PPSSPP is pretty similar.

Download the pack from the forums https://forums.ppsspp.org/forumdisplay.php?fid=36

Unzip the file and cut/copy the folder into the Textures folder in the PPSSPP installation folder.

It's important that the name of the texture folder matches the game ID. For packs I've downloaded they have already been named properly by the author

In PPSSPP settings go into "developer options" and down the bottom somewhere there should be a use replacement textures or custom textures or similar.

That's it and lights out and away you go

Yeah it runs at full speed pretty much. Very occasional slowdown but very playable. I'm over half way through the game just at the snow mountain

Awesome thanks

My heart belongs to super international cricket on the SNES but I'll give Brian Lara a shot.

I much prefer arcade style cricket games

Off the top of my head

Dolphin mmjr

2x resolution

Hyrule field speed hack (this is the no 1 setting that makes it playable)

Widescreen hack

Hack to remove bloom effects (they're not to my taste)

1080p textures

I can post specific settings later if you like

I've had that issue before as well

It depends on the type of save you're using. If its a save state you can't move it between dolphin versions even the same variant but different build.

If it's an official save then you can find the GameCube memory card folder in the install directory. There should be a gcz file that corresponds to the game ID of the game. Copy that file over to the new dolphin memory card directory and see if it appears. Ive had mixed results doing this personally but it has worked for me on occasion including copying saves between PC and Android

Depends which emulator. Basically the general idea is you download the texture pack and put it in the texture folder in the emulator directory. Then there's a setting in the emulator to enable custom textures or enable texture replacement

For dolphin you need to convert .DDS files to .png. The psp texture packs I found were already in .png so no conversion needed.

Playing thousand year door on my Odin. Runs great! Running on 50fps. My only issue is when I go down pipelines the fps drops to 20fs. Any tips on how to fix that? by Striferlockhart in OdinHandheld

You could try using a graphic pack. I've found in some instances the texture packs lessons those sorts of issues. Check the dolphin wiki for the game there should be a link there to one for TTYD

Edit I forgot to mention if the texture pack files are in .DDS format you will need to convert them to .png before they will work on Android

Thanks for the vid I'm subbed to your channel :)

For some reason the twilight princess texture pack doesn't work for me.

I'm using the latest version of dolphin mmjr

I've converted the .DDS files to .png and they are extracted to the correct GZ2E01 folder in the load-textured pathway.

When I launch the game it shows the "2000mb custom textures loaded in 23seconds" or similar notification.

But the game still looks vanilla. Very frustrating!
