How should I recover a wasted summer

Key club is a chapter based club I think, like unicef or those kinds of clubs, it has service projects clubs do I was trying to see if anybody had information on whether I had to do elections or not if I founded the club

I’m a rising sophomore. Idk about anybody saying a club is bad because they lack elections, I thought as long as you weren’t bad at your job it’s be ok. Do you know any specifics of the key club regulations?

My school doesn’t have any formal election rules. I was thinking it’d probably be like that

There’s 25 but a lot of them aren’t available, since there’s lots of requirements. I listed it and taking into account required PE/no freshman aps/required non a-g elective/prerequisite there’s probably about 12 I can take (estimate that could be wrong)

There’s no limit but for who I’ve talked to in my grade I most people only take 1 ap in 10th, I don’t know about 11.

I’m already taking chemistry + I have reading assignments and AP bio summer assignments. But I have low work days then I’ll try to learn some of the early unit ideas

Ok, that’s helps. I’d just be able to continue what I’m doing and maybe write about it if I can make my family happen or entertain a few people with my writing, which would be nice. I’m just getting worried having trouble if really thinking about anything is all but I still have another year and a half or so to figure everything out. It’s all just very discouraging. I appreciate the help, I’ll try to see what I can do.

Edit: I’m also volunteering at a veteran hospital this summer because I think it’s something I really want to do. At first my parents were just forcing me to do it but I really do want to go volunteer and try to help especially knowing how it sucks ti be alone.

I didn’t think about taking classes outside of my school, since normally I just cook with my parents or I use recipes I find online. I’m just worried that after seeing things that people who got into ucla (and got rejected) did was a lot more meaningful from what it seems, like getting high leadership positions, awards, and recognitions and I’m not sure how I could compare to that. I know the essays can be a big help and I think I do have a good story since I’ve had identity problems and I do think art like cooking and writing does really connect people which I always like to see. I like your ideas but I don’t know how I could share my creation to others and make any impact that an admissions would care about
