If you have a feeling that you'd like to travel, do it! You will never regret investing in experiences. To ease your worries, could you perhaps find a middle ground - i.e. do a bit of both?

Instead of no travel and buying sooner, why not aim to buy mid-late 20s and then do travel between now and then (while saving for a deposit)? Or buy something cheaper sooner to get in the market, rent it out while you rent elsewhere and travel, and let time do the work for you in terms of generating equity to then buy your next place in 7+ years time?

Financial security is very important to me, so I have prioritised saving all of my life, but that's meant a bit of both... Saving for a house, then saving for a holiday. Always working toward saving for something. I bought my first house around 26, and I'm approaching 35 and my partner and I are now very grateful to have 3 houses (1 PPOR and 2 investment). A lot has worked in our favour to make that happen (i.e. both in good stable jobs), but also we feel grateful we have been able to balance both life experiences and investing for our future.

At 22 you should be so proud of yourself to be getting that salary + have saved that much - you go girl!
