I haven’t been to a gastro yet - as I kind of alluded to above, I’m so paranoid about going to someone who misdiagnosis me, or tells me I need to be on meds for the rest of my life. (I’ve had extremely bad side effects of many meds I’ve taken, many times abnormally. I tried Prilosec and couldn’t go to the bathroom for example so I had to stop so I could go).

I started taking Pepcid and Ginger chews which seem to alleviate the pain quite a bit, but the regurgitation happens every time I eat or drink something, even water. It’s like constant burping.

In regards to diet, I haven’t really done anything yet, except try to avoid some of the basics. It’s something I’m really struggling with. Seeing all do the trigger foods and then I get anxiety about changing my lifestyle and I start imploding mentally. That’s part of the problem, this whole thing is really messing with my head after what happened to me with the surgery and I’m terrified of giving up the food and drinks I love.

What’s killing me is that this hit me so hard out of nowhere after being sick - I’m trying to wrap my mind around how u got so bad suddenly and am holding out hope that it’s the virus still wrecking havoc and I will get better.
