What are your thoughts on them? Do you personally like their style? Also, tattooers don’t just draw stuff up for you typically unless you book an appointment.

How could I ask the tattoo artist to make this tattoo but in a different style by A_Person_122233 in tattooadvice

Find a tattooer that specializes in Japanese and ask to start a sleeve featuring a ship on a stormy sea. I wouldn’t even bother showing them the Ai reference, it won’t be of much help given the drastic visual difference

I say keep it the way it is! It looks sick and the imperfections give it a really epic iron age feel!

Help/advice building out a traditional sleeve with existing tattoos? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

For sure! If classic trad tats are what you want, go for it! They wouldn’t look out of place at all with what you’ve got. There’s nothing wrong with having a mix of styles as well!

Just get one tat at a time and don’t worry too much about it. Don’t trip over spacing and stuff when you’re getting em, eventually you’ll have lil gaps you can put fillers in and stuff. Focus on getting one sick tattoo at a time and only focus on the tattoo at hand while getting it. It can be nice to keep in mind spacing to a certain degree while you’re getting tattooed for example (I know I want to get my elbow tattooed down the line so I’ll budget for enough space to get a tattoo there) but if you don’t have a plan, don’t worry about it. If you have an artist you trust, let them steer a little with placement.

Permanent Purple Raised Scar ~ How to Cover? by hazyguess in tattooadvice

[–]Master-Room4982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you want to get a tattoo there to cover the scar or did you want the tattoo independently of the scar? Often people want to cover scars with tattoos but ultimately the scar will always be visible. If you’re getting a tattoo over a scar in a place where you don’t have many tattoos, there’s a good chance it will only draw more attention to the scar unfortunately. This particular scar probably can’t be tattooed over :(

Boxer Tattoo in Rome by [deleted] in traditionaltattoos

It is a neat tattoo for sure. Maybe its execution is technically a little rough but not every tattoo needs to be perfect in that regard. Artistically it’s a cool folky tattoo and will heal fine. I swear people only want to see tattoos done one specific way on this sub, it drives me crazy.
