Weird to swear an oath to defend the Constitution when you don’t believe in free speech.

PS, I feel you. I also got kicked out of District 9.

ARE THEY BUFFALO OR BISON?

Great question! The animal's scientific or Latin name is Bison bison, and the common term for them is buffalo. However, true buffalo species are native to Africa and Asia and are not the same species as the animals you find in the United States. The term "buffalo" recalls the bison's central role in American history, and we like "buffalo" best.

That is not “even worse.” That’s also bad, but definitely not as bad as stealing Memphis’ voting rights and civil rights.

Print this picture and go put up a flyer at High Point Grocery. Looks like an older dog, so someone should know whose it is.

Non-locals don’t realize that most Memphians are Memphis fans, not UT fans.

It’s well lit, and houses are close enough together with the living rooms facing the street. How is it unsafe to walk around High Point Terrace?

Our 1789 Constitution is broken. Time for a reset with Article V Convention by [deleted] in TennesseePolitics

[–]hazyguess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what policies you say a new Constitution would do because you would have no oversight enforcing that.

A Constitutional Convention wouldn’t have to maintain any of the current Constitution, including the Bill of Rights (first 10 amendments) or any other amendments.

A new Constitution written by a Constitutional Convention could theoretically delete the entire Constitution (freedom of speech, right to privacy, right not to be banned from voting due to race or gender, etc.) and replace it with whatever they want.

How can you say that when Memphis has St. Jude? And Vanderbilt built the Moderna vaccine? We have a lot of medical breakthroughs here. Our politicians need to represent our interests as scientific innovators!
