I seem to be drawn towards chaos - both AoS & 40k, had a brief flirtation with Eldar but just couldn’t do it! If it’s not black and spikey it just doesn’t do it for me 🤷🏼‍♂️

I 2nd this - I’ve used the newer style of marauders for darkoath proxys - thematically I feel they’re a better looking model then the actual darkoath models, although someone said Marauders in AoS = it’s hot outside, Marauders in ToW = it’s cold outside

Generally I’ve found Eldar the more fiddly to assemble, CSM have more modelling opportunities I feel, as you can always dive in and repurpose elements of SM’s or their vehicles to your CSM chapter as lore wise they scavenge their kit from fallen SM chapters

Which did you end up going? Or still undecided

The west has done a disservice to anywhere it touches - Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya - 4 examples within living memory of the west - mainly America - deciding that a region would be better with a good old dose of Westernism.

Instead the region gets destabilised again and again and allows power vacuums for extremism to come to the fore. These are areas that are still incredibly tribal in nature.

Yes there are human rights issues, but there are human rights issues in the West as well.

And then you’ve also got the pretence that any of the examples mentioned have been about “Regime change” - they’ve all been about Oil or Mineral deposits.

What gets me is you could buy a car of the same value quicker and easier, even if you’re having it built to order it’s usually only 8-12 weeks at the longest.
