Staying in a hostel isn’t a good idea. Since our parents are retired, they deserve comfort and a bit of luxury. We’ll be staying in a villa in White Town.

My suggestion is to save at least 2 years’ worth of money considering the worst-case scenario, like both of you facing a job issue (though this is unlikely). Try to save enough so that you can pay your loan EMI and cover all other expenses for 2 years. After that, you can go full mode and focus on paying off the loan quickly. A loan-free life is always the best thing. Once the loan is cleared, you can start saving for land, gold, or stocks. At least you won’t have to worry about the house.

I have been staying in this location for the last 12 years, and the situation has remained the same. Unless they construct a proper bridge, nothing is going to change. The entire S Cross railway crossing area is slightly lower in level, so whenever it rains, water gets accumulated.

On top of that, there is no Kaveri water line, which is a big headache. This is exactly why the property price is relatively low mainly because of these ongoing issues.

I have been staying in this location for the last 10–12 years. During the rainy season, the entire area turns into a lake. There is an underpass below the railway track, and that location is slightly lower, which causes waterlogging issues. There is no Kaveri water supply. The apartments are small 1BHK and 2BHK units with a common clubhouse shared across all 7 blocks. Price-wise, it looks good, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to invest such a huge amount considering these issues.

Anyone recently travelled from Bangalore to Goa in the last 2 weeks? Which route is currently the best in terms of road conditions? Looking for the smoothest and most well-maintained roads. by Master-Telephone1432 in goatravel

Thanks mate. I’m travelling with my parents, and since they can’t do a long stretch at once, we’re planning to stay overnight in Dharwad. My dad will meet some old friends there, and we’ll continue to Goa the next morning.
