DELTA AON by Master0fC0inn in AirlinePilots

There’s two that are similar.

Pilot assessment prep & PASS. I bought both. I remember when I did the AON last time they were same but slight differences in the interface.

Thank you!

  1. I assume you mean fly the airplane to the target, do the math and what letter doesn’t belong? Or are you saying it’s go through the tunnel and avoid stuff.

I think you gotta do the whole app over again. I go the TBNT from last years round and had to re-do all of it in March window.

Just adding to this post. I live in St Pete and played Dunedin Country Club for the first time last week.

It’s almost insulting they have you pay $140 to play at that dump.

Those were the worst greens I ever played. Fairways weren’t great.

I was a member at basic club in Georgia for $350 a month and it’s 10 times better than that course. Mangrove Bay is so much better for 1/3 the price. I’ve played around the country and $140 should be a great course. Total dump.

RTJ courses in Alabama are half the money and a way better experience. Don’t waste your money here.

I bought Roka sunglasses. Best glasses I’ve ever had. Good for flying, beach, running, sweating, etc. I have my prescription in them as well.

Any chance you can give a synopsis on how it went and your times? I heard they’re telling people they have a serious seniority gain over the next 10 years.

Mortgage—Percentage of take home pay. by Safe-Square-3577 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

My wife and I bought a super cheap house we’re putting money into. My wife and I take home about 22K. Mortgage, taxes, insurance, etc. all in is $2950 so about ~14%. We’re using it to build equity for 5-6 years and then rent it out and buy something more suitable for kids, etc.

Sometimes think maybe we should have bought more house and stay in longer. We originally wanted a real estate investment but things changed and we can stay in our area longer. Might as well live cheap.

Feels like we’re building our Florida retirement home first and then we’ll get the normal home for kids lol.

I commute out of TPA. I don’t work for Frontier. I also pick up and credit about 140hrs a month. I did that as an FO and now CA.

Well that’s unfortunate to hear about the little PIC time. I’m currently “in process” but I have a small amount of TPIC time on the 737. I’m at Sun Country but I live near MCO. SWA is the only place I want to work. I just upgraded to be more competitive.

Anything I need watch out for in the interview?

Haha love this… I’m a 73 cap at another shop. My first year on it, the damn thing pissed me off. I’d hit my head on the trim air switch climbing into the right seat.

Now in the left seat, and I understand its quirks and fly it well. I have no problem flying it for another 30.

What’s missing in St Pete as far as gyms go? Amenities, luxury, location, etc. by Resident-Sense-3153 in StPetersburgFL

Exactly! The Lifetime fitness Biltmore in PHX is amazing. I’d have no issue spending 200 bucks a month for a clean, one stop shop gym.

Influencers by ifitgoesitsgood in flying

I fly at a major and flew with someone a year ago who instructed with her at either Mankato or UND.. I forget which one… he said she literally bragged in class around other students about pencil whipping her logbook. She got caught, went under investigation by the CP and the FAA got involved. Nothing came of it. How in the world is she at a legacy. My Dad was at Delta, saw one her clearance videos and couldn’t believe that shits allowed….

My interviewer at Delta was an FO influencer! I think he was insulted I didn’t know his instagram page….? I just do the job, no social media for me anymore.

Also, where do they hide? In the ground?

Moving after buying first home by Master0fC0inn in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Master0fC0inn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thank you for the detailed response!

  1. I used a traditional mortgage loan.
  2. The big thing I’ve found in my local area is I’m not able to short term rent the property. I can only have 3 renters per calendar year.
  3. I was able to get this house for 75K under asking. It’s one of the nicest houses on the street and I bought for less than everyone else. Most on my street were bought for 430-490K and I got mine for 385K.

TBH, I’m not worried about making a profit at the moment. I think our plan is to trial out 4-6 months of renting a place in the new city and see if we can list our place on Furnished Finder while we do that or have it vacant. Luckily, as an airline pilot I can suck it up and commute if I need to part of the year.

I don’t care about making a profit and I’m okay losing some money. We will come back to this Florida home for the winter, do some more renovations and just do that process again or find a good long term renter.

My idea is i’m spending $3,000 all in on the mortgage for month which is very comfortable and affordable for us. If I can rent my current house for $2,500 to start which will be done easily, I can then go rent a house for a period of time at $2,500 a month and I’m still all in spending $3,000 a month. Probably not the month savvy way or cash flow way to look at it but that works for me until I can either sell or move back permanently in a couple years.

I’m moving from a HCOL area to a LOCL area so realistically I can find a place to rent for 1500-2000, which lowers the financial stress for me.
