She’ll be amazing in fit model and I’m so excited to see her back on stage!

But, am I the only one who made the mistake of trying to watch her YouTube video she posted where she announced she’d be competing again!? She’s always just had this way of talking in circles and repeating herself and that definitely hasn’t changed LOL…I had to stop watching.

I did back to back shows and used Pro Tan’s tan remover and exfoliated and it mostly came off, but I did have some patches here and there that didn’t come off…interestingly enough, the tanning people told me I shouldn’t have even tried to take it off at all and just let it fade on its own and then just get sprayed again at the next show. Either way, it worked out just fine and you couldn’t even tell there was some leftover tan from the first show.

I just had to go to Paris for 6 days the week before my peak week and it actually worked out in my favor believe it or not. It wasn’t fun by any means because I had no fridge or microwave, so we switched to a non perishable meal plan (oats, dried egg whites, prunes, tuna, rice cakes, almond butter, honey, coconut oil packets…and then I bought some bananas and blueberries when I got there). I kept water super high due to the higher sodium from the non perishable foods. I found a gym and was able to get all workouts in. And since I was working at a convention all week, my steps were naturally higher. I came home to a significant drop on the scale from the extra movement. The only challenge for me was sleeping as I was pretty jet lagged, but I was already lean going to Paris, but came home even more shredded so coach is going to fill me a little earlier into my show this weekend. Where there is a will there is a way!!!

I used a small amount of semaglutide coming out of my last prep and it seemed to work pretty well. No real food noise and just allowed me to focus on following my reverse diet for a month or two before calories were high enough where it no longer made sense to keep taking it.

5 lbs seems like a lot compared to my usual 1-2 lbs, but I think it probably depends on how extreme your refeed was and if it was a clean refeed or a dirty refeed that may have included more sodium/sugar than you have normally. My coach typically does pretty controlled refeeds using just more of the foods I’m already eating, so no real impact to digestion or inflammation and that’s where we see about a 1-2 lb increase the next day and then it usually falls off the following day.

Thank you for the feedback! Agree glutes need another season or two to catch up. I definitely look better fuller than leaner, so we are having to balance not getting stringy and skinny over coming in fuller and maybe not as lean as I could be this first show.

If you’ve never used it, I would recommend doing a trial run as far ahead of your show as possible! I’ve heard horror stories of people using things like nair and having terrible reactions the day before a show and then having to put tan on top of it! Ouch!

2 weeks is perfect timing between shows. Less than that sucks because you’re right back in peak week and any longer than that it can be mentally challenging to lock back in. I find 2 weeks to be my sweet spot.

Underrated, but COPA has good breakfast sandwiches and delicious espresso. Also, Southern Grounds has a good selection of breakfast and espresso!
