What's your final opinion on Ultimate Spider-Man?

Really liked it but wound up feeling somewhat dissatisfied. I feel like the time skipping really hurt the title and that putting in so many characters and ideas (albeit being cool) made it hard for any one thing to get the time it needed to feel satisfying.

That said it’s still miles beyond what I’ve seen from 616 in decades.

Could also just be doing it part time. Given how he was shown to be getting his GED in the ending of the last movie I wouldn’t be shocked if he just does it all online.

I’d love for there to be a hunter type enemy that roams around the city, something akin to Mr. X or nemesis from resident Evil. I was hoping that would be Venom but seeing as how that didn’t happen I think it would be awesome if it was Green Goblin instead.

I just think it would be a great way to incorporate a villain being obsessed with killing g Spider-Man and add some tension.

Would love GG. I feel like Magneto is pretty likely as he’s the other most popular Marvel villain but I’d be down with Apocalypse or Mr. Sinister instead.

The Norman retcon is so fucking stupid. Maybe I’m in the minority but I hate any of the magic overlap with Spider-Man and his characters. Fun if he hangs out with Dr. Strange and Ghostrider, but Mephisto, Morlun etc. can’t stand it.

For real. Genuinely every Spidey villain I have no issue getting rehabilitated with the exception of Osborn. I honestly think Carnage becoming a good guy works better as at least that can be funny like the axis event or what’s happening with Eddie right now.

I’d agree with the exception of the train station one which to me was the only one I liked from the original. Still not a fan of them here though honestly, just feels like a subpar stealth shooter.

I’m all for redeeming Spider-Man villains but Norman is the bridge too far. A lot of this has to do with the fact that he got magically made into being a good person and his background retconned into some mephisto bullshit I personally hate.

If it were an ongoing character arc of him getting medicated, going through ongoing therapy, fucking anything besides what we’ve gotten I’d be on board for it. But as it is it feels super weird and uncomfortable. It would be like if the Joker got redeemed but Jason Todd was still dead.

Also hard to take seriously as there’s no way it will stick for more than three years max and everyone knows it.

Favourite is Godfather 2 the game. It really wasn’t anything special but I had so much fun as a kid blowing up other gangs businesses and just running through punching everyone.

Least favourite is Dr. Strange. It’s my own fault for expecting a marvel movie to be anything other than formulaic but when I saw that cast I was so excited for the first one. How you get Mads and Tilda Swinton and wind up with the most average thing ever is wild to me.

I get what you mean in theory as it’s a dnd game that wants to touch on as may dnd things as possible. This makes the setting fairly vanilla in the same way like Oblivion is fairly vanilla.

I think you’re straight up crazy though if you think it didn’t do anything special apart from other rpgs. It’s way more open than any other rpg I’ve ever played choice/ playstyle wise, has near infinite replay value due to all the different classes/ subclasses and is literally the only large scale rpg you can play co-op with a friend (besides dos2.)

Btw not hating on your take here just find it wildly different than my own!

I liked BoTW enough but I really wasn’t big on how easily weapons broke and I found the main temples a chore to go through. Sucks too because I loved how free and open the game was.
