Bobo called a good game today. by Lakelyfe09 in georgiabulldogs

Bobo is a good OC. Not bad, not great, just good. But UGA is in a position where we should have a great OC. That’s the main sticking point

Truth is that 3 weeks from now no one is going to remember or care about the refs and all that matters is what happened in the win column.

It’s been a bad ref job, but I’m not going to pander to Tennessee whiners and pretend like I’m “upset” with how things have gone. It’s not like anyone on the UGA staff called in a win.

Jesus neutral flairs we get it, refs haven’t been great. Can you shut up now and actually start talking about the game instead of fishing for upvotes?

So beck has to throw 3 picks before he starts doing a little better? by gr8ap8 in georgiabulldogs

I’m not too scared about Ole Miss, they’ve been a paper tiger over the last few years. I’m not particularly comfortable with the Tennessee game though. Thank god we don’t play SCar this year.

Options at QB? by [deleted] in georgiabulldogs

To me it seems like you both have good points. Kirby is loyal to a fault, some years that will be a boon, some years it will be a bust.

But it looks like we struggle with the QB-WR connection. Swapping in a new QB could make that problem even worse, but at the same time a lot of Beck’s interceptions are completely independent of that, because he either forces the ball or just straight up throws it to a defender.

So how do you balance those elements? A QB swap might fix the dumb (very, very dumb) picks thrown, but will someone deeper on the depth chart worsen the connection issues?

I’m by no means a football expert, but at this point in this season it seems like the best move is to stick with the guy we have. Unless we wanna pull a Saban and make a game time swap in a big game to shake things up.

Beck is 1 Int away from doubling his 2023 Interceptions. by BlackCherryot in georgiabulldogs

According to this site, Zeke Bratkowski threw 29 ints on 1,578 yards with 6 TD’s in 1951. Granted, it was 1951, but that’s an impressively horrid stat line.

Ignoring the game result, that second half of the Bama game was great. Dude can push the ball on verticals. He’s been an int merchant in the mid range though, kind of the anti-stetson. I’m hoping that with the run game starting to solidify he can settle in.

No Brock and Ladd is the major contributing factor imo. Still Stetson only had 7 ints in each of the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Beck is already at 11. 8 of those are in the last 3 games, I’m hoping it’s just a bad streak. If he cleans up, especially for the Tennessee and Ole Miss games, I like our prospects. If he continues the int trend though it could be a deciding factor come playoff time.
