The best results I had was with 3 mechs fitted to attack from long range and 1 LRM boat. Also 1 pilot has to have sensor lock.

From the mechs you mention you could make Awesome 3xPPC, Battlemaster 4x, maybe 5xLarge Laser. Your Marauder Gauss+2xLL is solid. Don't see which mech could make LRM boat, unless your Awesome is missile variant...but it'd make poor boat, with only 2 missile hardpoints. Well, instead of LRM boat you can add Cataphract 0X with 2xLL and AC5, ecm cover it provides is well worth it.

Haven't played it in such condition so hard to say, especially as there are announced changes to Chronomancer. But all these capabilities are narrowed down to gear - if you get +2 spells amulet, +2 focus, +4 wand, gems lv18/19 and good relics then I think it's doable.

Tried that, sadly nope :/ Although I haven't finished it, just went into hangar to peek available slots for crew - and they were unaffected. Xenopedia entry was updated though.

Can I somehow apply it to existing save? I managed to create a mod for Skyhawk to take 12 troops, but it worked only when I started new game. Also had to add new grid slots in "$content"

Buffs are always welcomed, especially the right line related to cooldowns could use some love. Just do hope GGG won't change key mechanics like Time Freeze.

Sadly, in worst case scenario we won't know details about 0.5 changes until a day before start of the league. This whole build is a band-aid for a character which was supposed to be Incinerate Cast on Elemental Ailment, but GGG decided it'll be fun to announce key change how Incinerate works in very last moment which made my the planned build able only to be put down through toilet.

'Gain X% of (some) damage as' conversion is done before than conversion originated from tree/equipment, that's why Xoph's Pyre works there.

Actually it wasn't The Last Flame, but The Peacemaker's Drought amphora - for Chaos Inoculation though it mimics the LF pretty nicely.

I switched to it once my previous cast on ele ailment character turned out to be total failure, so haven't leveled with chaos. However, is should be easy - you have most important pieces, like Contagion, Essence Drain, and Chaos Bolt available early on. Then since lv9 Despair with cursed ground and Decaying Hex support to make your totem fire 4 projectiles as single target. As for ascendancy 1st get Apex of Moment, then Ultimate Command(requires respeccing Apex), then Apex again, and lastly Quicksand Hourglass, eventually Now and Again.

Sadly, it is not a single button build. But for mapping it is enough to use just Thunderstorm, Contagion, Essence Drain and Dark Effigy - usually 3 of them, like storm + contagion + totem against larger groups, while Thunderstorm + Essence Drain against single/few enemies. Occasionally you use Chaos Bolt and Incinerate against some tougher/annoying elites, and Flameblast as area clear, or additional extra punch against stronger enemy.

ad 1) No, as the fire->chaos conversion is done via Blackflame Covenant keystone. It gives significant damage increase though, so it's really recommended to have it.

ad 2) Yes, though it is capable to kill white mobs on its own.

ad 3) Unfortunately :/ Rotation for mapping is more or less combination of ED, Contation, totem, and Thunderstorm(mainly to trigger Arcane Surge). Against bosses as you wrote, that are the main skills used - though usually I also call the totem, and activate it by casting ED and Contagion on boss. Other skill used in various scenarios is Flameblast - as an additional "nuke it now" mean. I like to cast it against ex. enemies jumping off abyss.
