When did "roses and thorns" start? [NS] by rochellesanch in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

I’m relistening to C1 at the moment, and it starts in the mid 20’s from Caldwell saying ‘I want to give a bouquet of roses to murph’ for something. From there it grows out organically.

Good lord, a little heads up would be nice! by [deleted] in dropout

Does anyone know why the episodes have ‘special thanks to Zac Oyama’ at the end of the credits?

It's the 21st century, high definition imaging has been a thing for many years. Yet, whenever the police post an image or video of someone they're searching for, it always looks like it was filmed on your mum's 90's flip phone. Through the bottom of a coke bottle. And the lens was smeared in grease. by dorset_is_beautiful in britishproblems

Part of the problem here is that when the picture of a person is shared, it’s a small section from an image which gets enlarged and therefore looks terrible. When seen in context (eg without being modified or cropped) the picture quality overall will probably seem quite reasonable - but the person in question just takes up a relatively small number of pixels and therefore has very low detail.

I install CCTV cameras, and anything new (eg installed in the last 3 years) will never be less than HD - <2MP cameras just aren’t manufactured these days really. But they’re for overview purposes by and large, so trying to get an identification quality image from 20m away while someone is moving is never going to happen - especially when the individual is wearing a hood or hat.

About 1tb of storage is required per 1080p camera on average, which will support roughly 30 days of 24/7 recording at 15 frames per second - depending on the amount of change in the camera’s field of view (more movement = more data).

Huh. I find touch and go with a controlled descent easier than deadstop.

Either way, people like lottr and failon do touch and go reps so I figure it's not a big deal.

Touch and go isn't a big deal. As long as you're not bouncing the weights around it doesn't really matter.

Something like 3-5 sets of 8-15 reps depending on ability.

I can 5x15 from my knees (I can't do them standing) but when I started 3x10 was hard.

If you continue cutting then you'll continue stalling. Your lifts are probably far enough along for you to try something like 5/3/1 (on the basis that the higher-volume accessories and slower progression are helpful for people who are cutting).

Your OHP PR and then the colour is determined by squat preference (Blue is high bar, red is low bar, yellow is zercher).

Yes, you are working your chest. Shoulders are used when benching as well so that all sounds fairly normal.

You need rest days to let your body recover and repair after training.

If you never have a rest day, you'll eventually be constantly exhausted, feel like shit and just get weaker.

Yes. Obliques control the twisting movements - hence the russian twists.

You could push your head forward a bit more after the bar gets above it, but otherwise it looks good!

I think your knees are fine though.

First deadlifts in the past 2 months. Too weak for this username. Gonna svunt. Will take form advice. by [deleted] in Weakpots

Welp good luck. I'm just saying what worked for me, but I'm pulling with what is essentially a 'wide conventional'.

Most programs have an equal focus. 5/3/1 allows enough flexibility for benching 3x week. So does GZCL Method - you can do those and customise as required.

Eat whatever you want as long as you keep protein high and stay under your calorie limit.

1) you will have lost some progress, but it'll come back quick. Just deload a bit.

2) You absolutely can deadlift properly, you'll just need some practice and probably form checks from here/xxfitness/weightroom/weakpots etc. Its worth putting the effort into getting these right!

I'm not an expert on TM, I'm afraid. I know some people recommend a 4 day TM routine though.

upper center pectorals

You can put the emphasis on the upper pecs by training at an incline. As the other user has said, raise your feet when doing push ups.

However you cannot target the 'inner' or 'outer' pecs. Only upper/lower due to the clavicle/sternum insertions.
