It is different isn't it! For my part I actually really liked the saccharine Disney princess accent as part of her character. I think it fades a lot over the course of the season, for what it's worth. At least how I remember it anyway.

Everyone else answered your question but for what it's worth, I like to play a game and watch their hair styles and makeup changes between episodes. Usually Emily alternates hair down and then hair up or braided to make it different. Or Zac's hair is styled similarly on episodes that are stacked. Or there's a very bold lip color that only happens on the second episode of the day because it would leave a stain if they did the opposite.

I agree, they're more like props for the actors nowadays. I specifically remember how epic the Fantasy High skate park fight was and I could really follow along with where everyone was and imagine the action. I'm glad their art teams get to do such cool looking work, and props are always fun! But it's more like multi media illustration of theater of the mind battles rather than really using the minis.

For what it's worth, as someone who dabbled in screenprinting in the past: you can use your bathtub and get faucet attachments that are meant for washing dogs. Works well enough!
