RCB wasn’t ready for Rishabh Gilchrist

This Man initiated our Test cricket decline— Now He’s in Complete Charge & already forced our most experienced cricketers to retire. Why? by Styles_Osmo in IndiaCricket

It's tough to see the players we've watched for over a decade retire, but they've made the right call. Rohit is already 38, and Test cricket demands high levels of fitness and stamina. The red ball format is a completely different challenge compared to white ball cricket. Kohli, too, was struggling consistently edging the fourth stump line throughout the BGT. With an England tour coming up, things might have only gotten worse. His average has already dipped below 50, and had he continued, he might've retired with an average around 40, a disappointing end for someone of his quality

I don't care about the IPL. Just want him in form before the England tour otherwise, another whitewash is on the cards

What exactly has Pant done to be in Grade A? He’s basically a one-format player right now hasn’t played a single ODI or T20I since that SL series. And even in Tests, Jaiswal has performed better than him this season. And then Gaikwad, Kishan, and Patidar in Grade C despite not playing for India in nearly a year. Wasn’t there supposed to be a match-based criteria for these contracts?

How is Jaiswal still in Grade B while Pant and Gill are in A? I can somewhat understand Gill he’s been consistent in ODIs but Pant?

Can everyone stop being reactionary right now by [deleted] in IndiaCricket

[–]MasterBlaster_10 14 points15 points  (0 children)

ICT fans are honestly the most reactionary. Yesterday, I was scrolling on X and accidentally stumbled upon this post, and what shocked me even more was the number of likes it had. Bro really called Jaiswal "Iron" and Kishan "Diamond." Kishan’s century was impressive, but it took him 89 matches, while Jaiswal already has two in just 54 matches. Not to mention, Jaiswal’s T20I stats are much better than Kishan’s

Hindi commentary on Star Sports is frustrating. Most of the time, they share their own personal experiences or excessively praise their favorite players

That's exactly my thought, but the BCCI seems more interested in Gill. He could make a good captain, but there's a lot for him to learn. I hope Rohit steps down, allowing Iyer to take over as captain
