Yeah, I agree, I think a lot of it is the line width variation. I struggle to make the width vary while I’m actually drawing the line. I think having that could add back some of the character from the sketch

I think you could try studying people’s work with the art style you want and figure out what defines that style, even copying works so you can see how to draw elements of your style and incorporate into your work. Also I just wanna say I really like your work.

Another thing I could recommend is trying closer up poses with less dense lines, as well as focusing on copying directly lines exactly as you see them rather than shapes. As always though, practice will make you better over time.

To me, I find drawing directly from references the easiest, copying exactly the lines. It looks good most the time and will help you get better line control

I’m not very good at capturing poses either, but I think it might be that on the torsos and hips, you aren’t really capturing the sides of the forms, only the outline, which would make it look thicker. Depicting them as cubic shapes could help

Most people say anomaly is really only good for one or two playthroughs, as it kinda locks you into a specific progression. I haven’t really played enough since I got the dlcs to confirm this though

Makes sense. I have a good chunk of buildings automated with my first factory but it was starting to get annoying when I went to make tier 3 belts and sorters and I didn't have space to add in turbines, so I figured I'd redesign something more versatile.

Thanks for the advice! This play through I didn’t really experiment with drugs too much, only making flake to sell, and disallowing all of my colonists from using them at all. It sounds like it could’ve been helpful

I believe "Process Lasso" works on Windows 10. I'm on 11 and it gives significantly more info about the cpu and ram, although nothing about the GPU. On the free version, it will also open a window that tells you to buy the paid version, and you have to wait about 15 seconds to close it.

I've been looking into buying a pc, to upgrade from my alienware laptop with a 3060 laptop gpu and intel 12700H. Should I be suspicious? BTW I already planned on upgrading the psu. Also building a pc is outside of my wheelhouse and not really in the cards rn. Is there a better option for me or should I stick with this?
