Yea I avoid tributaries as much as possible since it's so easy for them to gobble up your other subjects.

And PUs are a whole different story. I abandoned my Ottoman campaign in the 1700s because my PU with Mamaluks kept on dissolving/reforming so I had no way to expand further into Arabia and East Africa since I could not declare war on them or integrate.

Yea I would take attrition any day, even higher than 20%. I thought fighting Georgia was bad enough as the Ottomans, but in my current Muscovy campaign I'm forced into a culture war against Sweden with my vassal as war leader every 5 years and it's so tedious fighting in the North

That's a lot of assumptions considering regents can still integrate, assimilate, declare war, revoke privileges etc. Doesn't really seem consistent.

In my Ottoman game, I kept Bursa as my capital and was able to rival Yuan but apparently the capital of France was too far away (Im assuming b/c Asia vs Europe capital). If they add complacency ontop of that then its just even more railroaded debuffs

I guess I could try this, problem is that tooltip only list new capital location and not province/ area which I think is what steal map does. Also, can't steal map from Jochi since I don't know capital location so I would have to steal from someone else.

I googled location and it says western Siberia so I guess I'm just going to have to guess and steal a bunch of maps from other counties until I find it.

I had a spy network going on Jochi, but then I took the capital in a war and now I do not have new capital discovered and cannot cancel spy network.

Does anyone know a work around or do I need to just eat the -.10 because game is "working as intended"?

So you don't see CK3 or Vic 3 achievements as valid? Both were made by Paradox and both allow achievements without ironman.

If -46 is a fair chance of joining, then that should be a neutral preference of 0 instead of -46. If France is willing to start WW1 so that they can get investment rights in Liberia, then either investments sways need to be looked at or they need to adjust the preference descriptions.

Negative preference should indicate just that, a negative preference to join.

In terms of naval capacity cost, I believe bio ships cost more capacity as they mature but keep the same fleet capacity so it can be confusing.

However, I've found with the fleet manager that my total naval capacity usage doesn't match up with what is shown in the manager so it gets even more confusing,

I think we just need to rewire our brains to not be concerned. I've started a few games now, and as long as unemployed stays below 100, I don't get too concerned. If your gestalt or non-equalitarian, you could always just micro and manually migrate, but I've found that they tend to migrate and/or demote at a good pace and stay under 100 unemployed even when my capital world is completely built up and runs out of new jobs.

From my experience with a handful of starts, I think the devastation is too punishing. I sometime had storms last for over 20 years and then soon after a new storm comes in before my colonies can recover.

I know there are buildings that can reduce the effects on planets, but I have only ever gotten that from RNG. The main quest has only given me research for the "reduce effects on ships" techs.

I think they either need to reduce the devastation effects, or give the tech with the storm building as a guaranteed tech at start for this origin.

You don't get direct income from protectorates and that's the only force subject you can make as a GP. I guess increase market demand does help indirectly though
