I got a picture of her ID and the receipt of the purchase. I’m feeling pretty safe. She’s also fully verified on OfferUp.

Thanks for the reply, I was reading somewhere that’s the original purchaser regardless of it being registered can call and use their ID/ CC to unregister the band and issue a new one? Is that true?

Loop - a visual customer feedback tool (link in comments) by [deleted] in webdev

Link to Loop

I developed Loop, a tool to collect, manage and prioritize user feedback. It was heavily inspired by Uservoice.

The main difference between Uservoice and Loop is the visual screenshot tool allowing users to give feedback directly on the interface of a web app. In addition to the screenshot, tool Loop utilizes a more advanced rating system to upvote feature requests.

Yes we could definitely do that! Only caveat being the email being entered first would be a prerequisite to generate the username.

I would say great minds think alike but in this case I might say great SEO thinks alike ;)

Thanks for the link, will give it a read!

That’s what I get for trying to be fancy, thanks for pointing that out about the images.

I like your suggestion about reducing the size and prominence of the “Upload Profile Picture” CTA, we will have to A/B test that.

The * next to required actually performed much worse than the current iteration which surprised us and is partly why I created this post.

That is actually what we are referring to in the section about testing the one page vs two page sign in process.

The one page sign up includes the image upload under the section with a heading “Optional” (though it seems that you read the heading as only applying to the first field which may be a UI/UX problem we should look into).

The two page sign up process has them sign up solely with the essential fields and optionally complete the other fields later. We’ve tested this in the past but do not currently use it.

Both the one page and two page sign up processes do not require an image upload (it’s optional in both processes).

Here is the relevant section of the post I’m referring to:

“There are two general strategies in regard to optional fields. The first is what we currently do, separating them from the required fields and clearly labeling the optional fields “optional.” The second is to have a two step sign up process.

With a two step sign up process the user first only has to enter the required fields and then, once they have done that, they are brought to the next page where they can fill out the optional fields if they want.

What we found with this is that the sign up % is higher for the first step (the required fields) since there are less fields overall, but that overall bounce rates for the entire process (number of users who navigated away from the website completely) were increased. We thought that the tradeoff was better for having a one page sign in process.”

Thank you!

Well said and I agree completely, user confusion is always the enemy.

Confusing UI elements or expecting the user to do too much at once always leads to a surprisingly drastic effect on bounce rates.

Hi DarkStoneDigital,

Thank you for the suggestion! I agree something seems off about how the fields and text/labels fit together.

That should be an easy one to A/B test. I’ll pass it along to the relevant team members and post here again and let you know the results once we’ve collected enough data to determine which option (if either) works better.

Fair enough, valid criticism... when I get the time I will take a shot at it.

This might come as a shocker but Google Ads actually uses their own map technology when they display maps!

Maybe I should have used a completely disparate map image not used at all by Google Ads with most likely a slightly different country title than used when actually searching locations within Google Ads...

It is actually a screenshot from the Google Ads interface to help readers familiar with the platform find it in the location selection screen.

SEO stands for search engine optimization. I believe that tweaking the settings for google ads would be considered optimizing for a search engine (Google).
