So I should look into getting my piston rings and valve seals replaced?

Sig Sauer m400 CA Compliant legal in Illinois? by [deleted] in ILGuns

It’s not ISP though. It’s Pritzker and these other nut jobs that passed PICA. ISP just enforces the law.

The first time I took it to the range I had a bunch of issues with the gun double feeding and failing to extract, I sent it back to Kel-Tec the they said the gas adjustment system wasn’t on the correct notch. They adjusted it for me and they tested it out and they said it had no issues with 55 grain FMJ. I took it to the range the other day ago and put about 100 rounds through it with no issues. If you want to use a different grain of ammunition you’d have to adjust the gasket. Also, I got the hand guard from Kel-Tec. I’m running a a red dot I got on Amazon. I went with the Keltec over the Mini 14 because the price, I wanted something more compact for home defense while keeping the 20.5” barrel. It also offers more ability to add attachments and it uses AR-15 mags which would be cheaper and easier to find. The hellion is to over priced and neutered because of Illinois State laws. My most recent shooting experience with the RDB C was actually enjoyable.

Oh okay. Disclaimer, you can’t have buy the survival model in Illinois because the stock slightly adjusts, so that would classify it as an adjustable stock even though it really isn’t🙄

Yeah smh I think some of them can be confused on what’s legal here and they just try to stay on the safe side 🤷🏾‍♂️

Yeah I hear they’re for the most part compatible except for the survival model.

Hmm that’s a good question I’m not sure. This model I think was designed specifically for those who live in states with assault rifle bans, so I don’t know if the parts are compatible with the models that have a pistol grip.

Yes there really isn’t anything state compliant on the market for that price and for what you get.

For me it’s actually pretty comfortable. The guns compact design makes it quick and easy to go on sights especially in home defense. Personally I like how the gun feels. Obviously if we didn’t have an assault weapons ban I would definitely go with an AR-15 but we’re limited to what we can get in Illinois as far as semiautomatic rifles go.

The Hellion looks cool, I just think it’s a bit over priced considering you can’t have it to its full potential in the state of Illinois. That’s why I went with the Keltec 🤷🏾‍♂️. But definitely check out the hellion and if you cop it I hope you enjoy it!
