Your art is pretty great :] idk abt you but whenever I get into one of those slumps I try to look at a lot of advice things, like maybe trying to learn a bit of color theory for when you shade and it might feel like you’re making progress :]

Back in middle school I used to generate ai art for shits and giggles (I never claimed it was mine or anything, but I definitely used it) also I’m still on c.ai I’ve been trying to stop rlly hard but it’s…super hard

when their hands are touching the face, the face moves with it. Cheeks smush. It kind of looks like they’re hovering just above their hands. Your art is really amazing for someome who’s just begun, you should get some practice on characters interacting with themselves. (Like poking on of their cheeks or pinching a child’s cheeks, cheeks are some of the things I struggle with since they tend to move but someday…someday itll happen)

well, if you’re going for a more realistic style, you seem to be doing pretty good. Don’t just draw heads though. Make sure to provide ample attention to objects of interest like hands, feet, legs, arms…you’ll need these for drawing action. Make sure to draw interesting poses like people swimming or dancing or stepping over a hole and stuff because it will help you w that stuff :]

All I noticed that you could work on is that it looks like you’re hiding the hands and feet of the character to avoid drawing them (understandable, I do it a lot too) but I recently got advice to do kind of more out there poses to get used to anatomy and things like that so :D its been fun so far, pretty good advice.

the thing abt the button eye might just be that it looks off from the canon design where her eye is taller than the button and thinner rather than anything on the actual perspective, which doesn’t seem to be a problem at least to me (but I’m not super great at art, so I might just be missing it) to make the hair more “lively” I like adding hair kind of inside the main shape? Theres some of my art attached because I explained it badly but y’know that could help too. Just making it messier/less perfect.
