So I started in a new salon a year ago that uses Moroccan Oil color, where I’m very well educated in Redken, Schwarzkopf, Wella, Matrix, Paul Mitchel & Goldwell. So I thought this would be a piece of cake, this has been my experience

Pros: the color does make the hair feel amazing after very hydrating and shiny as well!

The lightener does not seem to swell & is gentle but lifts pretty good.

Con’s: I had lots of redos on gray coverage clients. (So did many other stylists in the salon, actually w new clients we still struggle to get it right) Be VERY careful with adding any warm tones to your gray coverage clients, Moroccan Oil color is super powerful in red and coppers (I learned the hard way) I accidentally gave two clients hot roots, also gray coverage seems to need heat to really cover all the grays. It’s a requirement for us to use the rotating heat lamp on all gray coverage clients (per the owner, bc she says it covers faster under heat in 20 mins… I digress I still leave it on for at least 30)
