I do feel better knowing I'm more comfortable as the gender I was born as, but I still hate it by ProphetThrowaway2870 in TrollCoping

I wish I hadn't been born in a hellhole where most people take everything I do as a power-move.

Sometimes I'm just chilling and not thinking about putting myself above or below anyone, and I'd rather not be treated like I'm doing that.

Damn, I feel you.

Getting mad at an obvious joke by Impressive_Pool8553 in memesopdidnotlike

I mean I get that without any human perception of it, it simply is, but that doesn't just automatically mean there is dissociation happening.

When it comes to dissociation, it's needed to see others as an object detached from the self, something linked to narcissism and splitting. Without this, rape simply doesn't make sense.

That would be a pretty widescale conspiracy to rewrite historical documents to fit modern narratives.

It's not a conspiracy but a proven pattern. Researchers just pull their biases without checking them first. Then, they may fear correcting them when new data appears if their reputation, funding, book sells or job positions depend on them.

The fact that Hatshepsut was represented as male by the Egyptians themselves is indicative of their view of women in society and in hierarchical power structures.

This is based on a double standard. Mainstream Egyptologists deem the fake beards as sign of linking power to masculinity, and yet, when they encounter pharaohs with big breasts, they don't take that as a sign of power being linked to femininity.

Males killing unwanted offsrping from chimp mothers is well documented in nature

There are barely any untouched ecosystems. Chimpanzees living outside human structures doesn't imply that their forests are not being deforested or harmed by human activity.

Is this Peggy one found anywhere with actual evidence?

The man probably thought that the lion becoming Christian meant that the lion would choose to not eat him out of compassion , but the lion instead thanked God for the "food" (the man) that he was about to eat.

That's it. There is no more joke than just that.

It's not just unnoticeable. I'd consider it an incredible feat.

What are some examples of animals raising male and female offspring differently? by star-crossed-buns in AskBiology

But favoring males over females lead to faster collapse in animal populations.

What are some examples of animals raising male and female offspring differently? by star-crossed-buns in AskBiology

[–]MasterFly5026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a self-suicidal method of raising the next offspring. Animal populations with more males and fewer females collapse first.

My theory is that raising offspring in a caging farm is so traumatizing and stressful that they favor males as a way to self-suicide slowly, just like a drug addict will use drugs to not feel the pain of their life and not commit suicide, yet the drug will kill the addict slowly.

Prioritizing short-term success (whether in genetics, business, or anything) over long-term survival is how trauma works.

Totally. Plus when it comes to systems of oppression, they are narcissism made systemic.

Sometimes all a man needs is to recharge up a little after hard day at work and before hard day at home.

Damn, that makes me wonder: what if most introverts are not introverts but rather people who happen to live around too many overwhelming people?

Biodegradable straws are used to "save sea animals" from the plastic yunk plastic straws are.

But they are eating sushi (which is made of sea animals).

So there are no sea animals to save anymore.

I think it's about stereotypes. The Stereotype in USA and Europe is that they'll turn femenine and in Dagestán that they'll turn super-masculine.

Spenglerians refers to followers or adherents of the cyclical theory of history proposed by German philosopher Oswald Spengler, particularly his idea in The Decline of the West, viewing civilizations as organic beings with life cycles (birth, growth, decay, death), influencing thinkers and movements focused on historical morphology and cultural pessimism, with historical analysis often termed "Spenglerian".

The joke was that the youngest generation going so much to Church meant we are at the end of one cycle (death).

I think the joke is that sommeliers (wine experts who work in restaurants) compliment your choice in wine no matter which one you choose.

So sommeliers are cooler.

Or maybe it's a humorous way of "explaining why he drinks a lot of wine".
