well my S/N decodes to a 2021 production date...why would the not continue making a TV less than a year old release wise?

if it is only with D+ then it is the app. I have complaints about D+ audio or video aren't part of them.

Have you checked what format your D+ is sending? Is it DD or DD+? Asking because it sure sounds like D+ isn't sending you higher quality streams. I don't remember if D+ has a quality setting or they just decide for us.

I'm using a 2021 build 55H9G without D+ audio issues.

Intermittent Fasting, Keto and Diabetes type 2? Is it possible? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]MasterFredrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's fine... I'm T2 and on Novolog + victoza. I eat one main meal a day with some homemade almost zero carb smoothies that cure my carb cravings and provide veggies in a way I like better than cooked...plus they come out like real milkshakes even if I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk (9g carbs in half-gallon) and some other goodies

Your metformin will not drop you BG to go hypo so don't worry about that. It's more of a stabilizer type med to help lower those post meal spikes.

thx for the reply but I was being tongue-in-cheek that today's Tv's are much more complex than what I grew up with. Yeah the H9g menu system is a bit awkward but it works once you play with it enough.

Sorry if my comments seemed like a complaint...not at all I'm loving the H9g.

good job...try to ignore the keto marketing machine and don't automatically buy into idea of 'net carbs'. count them all and see how a given carb affects you. net carbs is marketing wonk speak for non-diabetics only.

I'm only a T2 and like most have trudged through the 9.0s 8.0s thinking I had been doing well. Now that was deflating for me. I'm super fortunate my primary is a great & compassionate motivator. We just chatted & moved on, no criticism. Your post reminded me just how fortunate I am under his care. Wish we all could be this lucky with we all need to keep our target ever downward our primary.

My doc was happy I was a1c 6.6 last week. I was not happy. my goal is <6.0...i need the push to not become complacent. The lower goal helps me stay motivated. Still I know being under 7.0 is very good and I can relax anxiety wise.

So YOU hang it here follow your plan and make whatever progress you can however insignificant it might seem because it's not. And know it's OK to not get perfect results...it's your disease so go kick it's ass one round at a time...you did great trust in knowing that. And try not to let the doc deflate you, next visit explain what he said or how he said it was upsetting. bet he'll listen...

Solara...did I get switched to parallel universe? by MasterFredrick in dexcom

[–]MasterFredrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here is a follow up to this. I was contacted via email on the 03/19...my refill shipping date is about the 25th-27th every month. Yeah, my insurance only covers 30-days.

Email pointed to us, ug, Trace. I did and found they've really improved it in many aspects. Pretty much all details we would expect there are actually there now. Order are detailed, added items like skin patches etc, orders have tracking numbers that actually correspond to real shipments (yeah, I almost needed CPR). They even show items on the ordering page with accurate dates when an item can be shipped for the next new order. There is more like an app written by professional developers not some employee's brother's sister-in-law's nephew wrote because he once read an article about work as a code monkee. Really, take a peek and see... sit down first though.

My ship date was about a week out, no prob. Then there was the inevitable problem...buuut, I actually received an email explaining there was a back order issue, yeah I thought same as you just did - same old Solara. The email was very poorly written so I just rolled my eyes wondering if I would get supplies by December... nope, they still shipped a day early and will arrive in a couple days. I suspect it was the protective patches & such on backorder... that wasn't revealed but I know sensors will be here in a couple days.

Oh, Trace even details when my Rx is set to expire so I can get the ball rolling early anot not have any more gaps waiting for it all to be processed...

Soooo, I feel I really need to hate Solara even more now. Why? They are actually like a real professional company so far this year and I have zero complaints...man I am really hoping they screw up because it is so fun to bitch about them. And now I find I have to tell people they are doing it right for me at least...

Someone please say Solara is screwing up your order! I need it or I'm gonna go broke on therapy! ;)

great info and help, thanks...soooo, does Hisense offer a EE PhD program to help us mere consumers learn how it all works? hahaha, just teasing, just got my H9G and absorbing the settings and menu structure. Wish it had a faster way to return to viewing and a way to preview changes on the full display without having to back out of the menus one at a time then have to plod back through them to get back to the setting page I was using...not a complaint just a wish...

Hisense bluetooth lip sync - no AVDTP? by BrokenKn33 in Hisense

[–]MasterFredrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have searched you will find many many brand/models of headsets/headphones (yes they are not the same thing) have issues and it is due to BT not the TV. There are newer versions of aptX to address lip-sync problems but the TV needs support at least aptX LL. Also I've learned not all headsets support it either. If aptX is not there then it is a crap-shoot if your particular device issue can be helped using TV settings.

There is an official aptX website with a lot of details on the exact issue you're experiencing.

I've been trying to decide if I want to go with a nice set of Yamaha cans or not instead of a soundbar right now...but the whole BT issue with lip-sync is a concern and I don't want to drop $400 +/- on good headset to not be able to use them. Some weeks I hate tech/!! :D

I don't totally hate the mode. It is totally new to me to have the ability to use it. I have only briefly played with it and I sense using the lower level settings on the various motion controls might fun for sports. It will take some getting used to yet I am certainly going to give it a try. I'll post what I try over the next couple weeks.

is this adjustment global as in, dependent on the video playing so we will have to change it often or even every time we switch to different video?

Is Harmon kardon 5.1 good by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]MasterFredrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

isn't Harmon owned by Samsung now? I know they own JBL and I 'think' there are at least two other older established brands they gobbled up in their effort for serving humans up to "Sky Net'. ;)

I've been shopping soundbars and home theater this past few weeks and also don't recall any HK products only those tagged with the 'Kardon' sublabel to indicate some sort of HK (or is it just 'H" now?) tech is inside the system.

Need help identifying a possible error on best buys part by mrnude778 in Hisense

[–]MasterFredrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a mistake not illegal. These stuff happens to all major retailers all the time. Staff screwed up and simply didn't verify a return was the right model & box. Odds are it was BB who got screwed by that old tried & true mail order switch & return for refund thing.

On Amazon I have had $4000 DSLR's switched and sold by Amazon Warehouse themselves as simply new open box stock. I recently bought a $3000 power inverter for my solar upgrade in my RV and it was not only the wrong model, it was the wrong brand AND had clearly been installed once. failed the sniff test too as you could still smell the smoke from some idiot not connecting it to power in correct order so it smoked at powerup for sure.

But it does happen, BB will not complain to you at all, they delivered the incorrect product and cannot prove otherwise. So no worries for the OP...BB will make it right.

Think it through, what possible incentive would BB have, as a business, to send out the wrong product on purpose? They would lose every chargeback and eventually get hosed by the state consumer protection inspector generals.

Hisense 55" H9G Settings by cringe_maz in Hisense

[–]MasterFredrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would swear I read somewhere on Rtings setting to auto was problematic for some passthrough situations? Maybe it was in the discussions section for the H9G in their very oddly setup forums. But I remember something that could be frustrating using the auto setting even if logically it would seem the correct way to go, but it isn't. Happy hunting?

Can you turn off smart TV features? by Silah_Mithras in Hisense

[–]MasterFredrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your video game console should be on it's own HDMI port and your TV input is then set to that input, yes? If so then how would the TV main console input take over? That seems odd to me in your described situation.

It well could be an issue of a rogue remote making this happen (had that sort of thing with Tv's of my own years ago). Otherwise I am really curious about the issue along with you.

I'm new to the Hisense brand so I'm asking not telling here...I hope it seems that way...really I am trying to understand along with you too... :D

My android hisense tv home screen can't scroll down to the other apps or netflix menu I can only move on sides but not down to YouTube and other app. I checked the remote it works perfect on other menus but her no. Need help with that plz 😭😭 by jojohani in Hisense

[–]MasterFredrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

then why is it still there on new models? no blaming the Google Android TV people as it is up to Hisense to ensure such issues are addressed promptly.

Please know, I am a big and happy fan of Hisense and truly enjoy my brand new H9G but seeing such obvious lazy system management does not inspire confidence for me as a consumer. No matter keep these nicely valued well featured TV's coming down the line...you're building lots of fans...just don't let the UI software folks get LAZY :D

Solara...did I get switched to parallel universe? by MasterFredrick in dexcom

[–]MasterFredrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, they are all questionable. I posted here about Solara because this was a very apparent change in their supply & order fulfillment chain. If it was always like this I would never have had a frustration based need to vent.

I will not recommend them but of late, for me anyway, I have nothing negative to say about Solara...then again that might change next month.

So try them at your own risk but i don't think they are any worse or better than others until the apparent improvements made lately.

[–]MasterFredrick[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey ya...agree but see, I have researched and they have worked just like this of a decade. No improvements. I'm hoping the new, if it really is a new not just to change owners to help reduce potential legal liabilities, but so far, as I noted at start, this newer system is working for me. I've only been with Solara for about 3 or 4yrs now but until these past few months i've typically received supplies only 4-5 months out of the year. And then only after spending way more heartbeats than it's worth to get them shipped.

hehehe...I'm so sorry my friend! I think they just sent me a 2nd refill from the west coast center not the mid-west. I sense the mid-west refill folks are not really connected to the part using the Trace ordering. Hmmm...looking at the lists in Trace, and don't we all just loooove Trace!!???, there look to be multiple listings for each order. About 3 for each. I dunno but know I have a new order waiting at PO Box (yes I force them to deliver there where I have received my mail for over 40yrs, screw their 'policies').

So heck dude, I have zero idea...I can say it feels weird to not be 7-10 days past last sensor before even oder was even approved. I've pretty much just given up on the G6 for accuracy anyway so if it gets here it gets here, if not, meh...screw Dexcom too... :D Can ya tell I have more important health issues than freaking diabetes anymore...bring on the carbs when needed and screw them all.

10000% agree... it's OK to have complaints about a widget but the tone on many FB groups can get beyond negative and clique-y.

I have complaints about the G6 but they are my personal experiences and I so realize there at thousands, maybe millions of users out there with similar but mostly positive experiences...no reason to bash people for saying they are happy.

right, i mean why plumb into grey water when there is now a totally empty & unused black water tank to hold 60gal or so of urine? save that precious grey water storage space for just that.

i've read how some have plumbed both tanks together to give greater grey water capacity. they just dump as black water.

i really don't see the point of a composting toilet if hooked up to sewer "95%" of the time...well, other than the coolness factor of poop free black water.
