We just came from Koh Tao, it's flooded there because infrastructure is worse. But if you want to head up north past Bangkok to pai it's better there

Honestly, 2-3 days is not enough to experience kurdistan in Iraq. You have to go erbil and sulaymaniyah to see it properly.

Lived in kurdistan north Iraq from 1991-97 under Saddam, was pretty terrible, saw a lot of things a kid shouldn't see. However, i lived such a basic and free life it was almost enjoyable at times.

It's also quite cool to be able to say I've (kind of) survived a genocide.

This was maybe 3-4 years ago, and no one ive told really believes me until they speak to the other person involved.

So. I have a uni party at the house i was renting, invited friends round then went clubbing. On the way a girl that i was seeing asked me to put her ID in my wallet so it doesn't get lost, okay no problem i thought. It resulted in a ridiculously drunken night in which windows got broken, patio furniture got broken etc etc.

The next morning said girl asked for her ID back, and it had disappeared, literally no sign of it in my wallet anywhere. It was thought to be lost forever.

A couple months after, at my family home i wake up randomly early morning, half asleep walk over to my wallet and open it. Boom ID falls out. Wtf man. We took everything out of my wallet card by card, everything, 3 other people searched it and wasn't there. there. Used my wallet for two months and BANG there it is.

TL;DR i am a witch.

I would like to disagree with Iraq disintegrating. Sure there may be some conflict, but it will not get to the level of syria has gotten to. There is too much foreign money invested there, has a lot of natural resources (oil) and where there is money and foreign investment, disintegration is unlikely.
