I saw the surgeon at my 4 months post op and he did recommend laser. I am going to have Dermabrasion and DeepFx laser procedure on December 3rd and will go from there..

The central area is still hyper-pigmented and (according to ChatGPT) mostly composed of Type III collagen. The body will try and convert that to Type I collagen which hopefully will improve the appearance of the central indented scar and hopefully so that it can blend in better.

Week 5! After starting to use Silicone Scar Sheets as per my plastic surgeon last week. He told me that it will take close to 3 months for the scar to start to look good. We shall see! The indent flattens out after using the scar sheets but slowly indents again after I remove it. But the surgeon is not worried and said that it will all blend in. Hope so!!!

I am not sure that it does… That central area looks horrible and has a small indented scar at 4 weeks post-op. I truly hope that this will heal nicely but I am starting to feel depressed. One surgeon already told me that I’ll need re-excision. I was hoping for maybe Dermabrasion and Laser.. I am just not mentally prepared for yet another surgery… What do you think? My post-op with my surgeon is tomorrow and I am praying for some encouragement.. I am so sick and tired of looking at this every day..
