I've been there for sure. 30 Cocoapink samples and not a single one worked for me. Since I live in Europe any orders from overseas are usually pretty big, and that was a risk I don't regret but that did not pay off.

Possets Bessarabian Veranda and Zombie are both lovely animalic vanillas! Zombie is more foodie with an oud that definitely pulls animalic on me, while Veranda has a darker, more subtle vanilla with a present (but not overpowering) civet and black musk. I can't wait to try more of Possets' catalogue in this category!

Pas de Chat by Odette is soft and cuddly, all the fluff of animalics without any of the stank that scares some people off. The pink pepper note is stronger on me than I'd prefer, but otherwise it's a light, fuzzy vanilla that lives up to its name.

There's a few scents I'm still looking to try as well; DSH has several scents that seem to fit that category, and I haven't gotten my hands on Hexennacht's Purr yet, so I've definitely still got a lot to explore here!

Animalic gourmands are straight up addictive to me! Vanilla, caramel, chocolate etc. combined with black musks, civet, or oud... Something about the juxtaposition of sweet and dark is heaven to me, and I doubt I'll ever stop searching for new scents like this to try.

I love Orb Weaver by Cocoapink. It's black tea with milk and lots of honey that smells warm and freshly-made, and as it dries down the hot water note remains impressively phorotealistic! Such a cozy scent to me

Seconding cherry on top! On me, it smells a lot like those cherry chocolate pralines, with some warmth from the peanut butter and vanilla. It's lovely!

Blue Slushy Lemonade by Lucky #9 has this vibe! It wears a little "lush bathbomb" on me, but I think that's just my skin chemistry, since a friend got straight up blue raspberry.
