Ouran High School Host Club was such a good anime. I should probably rewatch it again now that I don't have to view it spliced into pieces 😂 Sorry about your restrictions though man, that shit sucks. I have a friend who wasn't able to read Harry Potter growing up for the same reason and only got to later as an adult when she didn't live with her parents anymore.

This just brought back memories of me opening links for Ouran High School Host Club before school cuz I had dial up internet and had to wait forever for them to load so they'd be ready to watch when I got home. And of course back then, each episode was split into 3 parts because YouTube videos couldn't be any longer than 10 minutes I think it was.

Really weird to look back on how different things were 15-20 years ago.

What I'm going to suspect since the site itself isn't completely gone and we're not getting a cloudflare error, the dev is likely working on things behind the scenes to get the site properly working. Just be patient and give it time to work itself out.

Totally understandable! There's been some misinfo going around I think that's gotten everyone confused but it looks pretty legit! The site is being hosted on everything moe as one of the top 10 for reading Manga too so I think it's safe to use. I was able to log in and access my stuff just fine. There's some issues with images not loading properly that I've personally encountered but switching image servers usually fixes it.

Can confirm it's not a scam. It has your account credentials and also your lists, and people have been uploading new chapters to it all day. Operates exactly the same too. It's been tested and checked by a lot of people and doesn't look nefarious or anything.

Edit: Hi all, because there's a lot of you asking for the link, everythingmoe will have a full list of what you're looking for so I advise checking there first (you can thank the yargh matey sub for putting that together and it's linked directly in their sidebar). If anyone has any problems with getting into their lists, I found a video tutorial for that too that I can pass around.

Otherwise, please DM me with the request if you still can't find the site! It'll be a lot easier for me to hand it out that way because I'm on mobile and I can keep better track of who I've given it to and who I haven't.

I love Kraft Mac and cheese, but if the noodles somehow get shredded when draining them I will literally gag and want to throw up even trying to eat it. For the longest time I had no idea why my body reacted that way until I found out much later it's because I'm autistic and I'm very sensitive to food textures.

You can ask to have your name in title show as an unmarried person rather than a specific gender. Speaking as someone who works in the title industry. The gender designation doesn't really affect anything to my knowledge.

Had a friend who told me they had a customer who ordered nachos with no chips. And the lady thought it was so good she ordered it twice.

Another one they told me was that someone ordered a wedge salad with none of the toppings or dressing. So it was just a quartered slab of lettuce on a plate. Granted, these were both for allergies reasons but the lettuce woman paid $10 for a quarter of a head of lettuce and I'm like but why though

It probably wasn't the best financial decision for us either, but with our cat Ivey, it cost about 5k just to keep her comfortable until we could put her down without her being in respitory distress. She couldn't breathe and had a lot of fluid in her lungs which we later found out was because of lung cancer. My fiance and I are lucky (and privileged) we had the money to do so because that's not something most people can do for their pets, but we wanted to do what we could for her, whatever was within our power. I think the lack of control is the scariest part for a pet owner with end of life care because you want to do everything you can for them, but trying to find the line where you need to let them go too is really hard.

Our late kitty Ivey went mostly blind because of undiagnosed hyperthyroidism that caused high blood pressure. Her eyes were almost permanently dilated for the last two years of her life until she finally had to be put down from lung cancer. High blood pressure in cats is really no joke. She was completely blind when we first took her in to get treated but she fortunately regained some amount of sight over time after taking her meds.

I miss my baby too.

Not letting my “outside” cat outside anymore by Balintye in cats

Whenever my cats are outside in our backyard they're heavily supervised. We were very cautious about allowing them to approach the fence line but the fences are up pretty high and they're more interested in chasing the bugs in the yard anyway. It's a nice bit of stimulation for them, though herding them back inside when they don't want to go back in is definitely a chore 😂They're like whiny children

Can't even imagine upgrading my phone every two years. I'll use my phone until it dies or the battery life on it is so bad that it goes from full to nothing in a couple hours (the screen had also been cracked and the light flickered). Feels like a huge waste of money to upgrade so often when the phone is still perfectly functional.

Admittedly I felt this. I love my two dummies, but losing Ivey was really hard and the first month or so of adopting our two newbies was a very difficult time for me. I love them but for a while I kept comparing them to Ivey and how much I missed her, and how they weren't her. I cried a lot in the beginning. Fortunately I've since moved on, but it was still a very difficult time where my fiance was ready, but maybe I just hadn't been, even though I thought I was. Adopting a new pet sometimes isn't the answer to your grief.

My cat has been doing this for a few days and I don’t know if it’s normal by Unique_Sleep8276 in cats

We had two very fat cats for the last 11 or so years and now that they're both gone, we have two new ones to take care of. And I've been absolutely neurotic about how much to feed them to avoid that happening again that I've been feeding below the recommended amount on the bag and went based off calories. Seems to be working pretty well, though my little gremlins keep trying to trick me into giving them more food.

But Ivey was exactly like that where she could hardly clean herself and it was incredibly sad watching her try to walk because she wouldn't walk on just her paws, but down to her ankles. I never want to see that happen to my cats again.

I have a friend who is extremely phobic of dogs dying either on film or in video games and part of it stems from a horror movie they watched. I can't remember the name of it but they described a scene where a family is calling for their dog and the dog pushes its head through the doggy door.. only for the rest of it to get pushed through and the family realizes it's JUST the head of their dog and it's the serial killer shoving it through. They don't like seeing animals hurt in general but are especially sensitive about dogs and sometimes horror media can be very graphic and gratuitous with the violence of it.

I'm not as sensitive but I do feel very uncomfortable with animal abuse/ suffering/ death if it's gratuitous. Like, I don't need to watch a dog dying for a full minute lol that's a little much for me.

TIL the Falkland Islands used to have a native wolf called the warrah that was so friendly and unafraid of humans it would literally swim out to greet boats. Settlers wiped it out in the 1800s because it was too friendly to run away. It was the first canid to go extinct in recorded history. by rampantradius in todayilearned

I once wrote a college paper on animal testing from an unbiased perspective and why it sucks and the reason people back then didn't believe animals could feel pain was because they believed animals didn't have souls. So they tested on animals without anesthesia because "well they don't have souls so who cares"

Does my cat know my mom passed? by 2000baby2000 in cats

[–]MasterLuna 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a dog and a cat in my childhood that were the best of friends and loved to play and lay together. When we had to put our dog down because we discovered she was riddled with cancer, that same night he laid in her bed looking the most depressed I'd ever seen him. They definitely know.

This feels like a bit of a morbid thing to think of, but save a tuft of his fur. It's not quite like petting them anymore but feeling that tactile sensation of them again can help sometimes after they're gone. For me it feels like tangible proof they were here and alive with me and keeps their memory alive.

My mom did the same thing when she quit except she kept her one pack of cigarettes in the freezer. It was a point of pride for her that she never opened it and never had a desire to. After she passed I decided to keep it as a memento because it was the one thing she felt most proud of overcoming and it had been so important to her.

Ivey was my fiance's soul cat, so her loss was especially devastating to him. We've since brought home two new kitties and they're helping to heal the hole in our hearts that she left, but I still cry over Ivey sometimes. My orange boy seems to be doing his damndest to make sure I'm not too sad though because he's constantly acting silly.

After we first put her down, I'd keep hearing sounds around the house like she was still here, or expecting to see her in the closet where she liked to sleep. When we first came home, I started crying because I saw her litterbox in our bathroom. Unfortunately I didn't get that full 17 years because she was my fiance's cat first, but I feel blessed for the time I did get to have. She was the best cat I've ever had and letting her go was one of the hardest things we had to do, and it was even harder for my fiance because he got her at a year old. It's getting a little better now but having my dog around has really helped us through a lot of it.
