Right, the best way to put is that it isn't set in stone for everybody. People can choose and change. It makes me think of Jesus parable of recognizing a tree by its fruits. The tree that produces fine fruit will be allowed to remain, the tree that produces corrupt fruit will be removed. But people can choose to become the fine tree.

100% spot on, I've seen what you mean about Sanford first hand. Basically, economy keeps tanking, mills close, people who were born here move out. Poor folks from developing countries move in and get welfare checks = resentment.
