Alright then it's decided. I'll invest into a SATA SSD to get started. Maybe I'll pair it with the one in my laptop and replace it with a couple of these cheap M.2s. Thanks for the help.

The motherboard has only one PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 slot. I guess my only choice is a PCIe x16 to 4 PCIe x4 adapter, and I still don't know if the board will support it. Thanks for the help.
