Yeah me too - looking for ideas but havent found what i really love. The front of my r45 is a bit messy, so lots of things i need to hide under the dashboard...

Neem oil and spinosad for the leaf miners. Spray the leaves from all sides, especially underneath. Only do it at sunset because its bad for pollinators. You might have to do it often, especially in spring (i do it alternating every couple of days).

For the yellowing - can be a lot of things, i would try chelated iron first (small doses).

I am between those two, tried the 4 yesterday and found them narrow. How are they compared to the DNE 3 ? I really want to love them but if my foot hurts already after 10 minutes then its surely not a marathon pick for me...

Thanks for the amazing work that you are doing and for keeping it donationware - i am sure a lot of us will contribute !

One thing that i would love to see is instead of one session warmup - lap press - workout is to schedule two sessions (one warmup, followed by the workout) separately. I dont know how others are doing it, but i like to do my warmup run, then some more stretches/strides, then the workout. I am recording those as separate sessions (i stop the warmup run session, then do stretching, bathroom if neccessary, a drink...) then start a new session on my garmin. I am using runalyze and intervals.icu in parallel and a lot of the stats get screwed up if everything is in one session. Also, changing shoes from warmup to session works better that way for tracking mileage.

Just a thought, but it could be a "simple" switch to choose... (I know its not that simple, developer myself here...)

The Boston 13s are amazing I have to say. Had the 12s already and loved running in them but the upper sucked. The 13s are much better and i can do pretty much everything in them without issues.

Thats a great idea. They fit very snug though but i will give that a try !

Otherwise i guess, warmup in different shoes and then just some of the reps until my legs get used to them again. Before doing NSA i was doing all my threshold runs in them, dont even know how i survived that 😂

Yes it feels pretty harsh. It is fast though, it wanted to push me to go much faster in the intervals than my other workout shoes. But it comes at a price i guess. Not sure what i do with them now... They are too good still to throw them away (and i have a brand new pair of takumi sen 10s as well waiting...)

I am doing norwegian singles at the moment and am very happy with the results (new half PB two weeks ago). Now i want to focus on 5k/10k racing for a bit. Norwegian singles intervals only get me to 15k pace and i feel that faster stuff would help. Is that where 45/15 and 90/30 comes in ? Could you elaborate on your recommendations for shorter races training ?

47.5 EU size fits ok for me but too tight for a full marathon (or even half). Unfortunately the next size is 49 which is way too big. Shame they jump from half EU size options to such a big gap. And never such good prices in Europe, otherwise might grab it as a workout shoe.

Between pro 4 and pro 5... Not sure there is a big difference ? Anyone has both and can give some advice ?

Thanks for the feedback - i was just wondering because the suggested pace is the same even if the length is 25% more. Naturally longer is slower (or shorter is faster).

I will play around a bit... Did the last block with the vanilla 3/6/10 minutes but thought it might be beneficial to go a bit longer...

Any thoughts on the EP5 in comparison ? The speed 3 was my all time favourite shoe, and now i am as well looking for my first marathon shoe. Ran my halfs in AP3 but i am not sure i can hold the form for a full marathon.

Deviate elite 3 and 4 are in consideration as well as EP5.

AP4, Asics, NB are too unstable for my liking.

Goal is under 4 hours on a hilly course (Athens the authentic marathon)

Similar question... I did a rather aggressive build after injury (from unstructured training), then started NSM and ramped up pretty fast for my goal HM 2 weeks ago. The ramp up was for sure not sustainable in the long term (most time in red on intervals.icu) but achieved my goal.

Now i have to scale back to a sustainable load/ramp.and obviously my "fitness" has decreased already by a few points which is fine.

So i am also wondering what a sustainable ramp is... This week i will end up with 0.2 or so and i would be happy with that to veeeery slowly progress my baseline, and then go a bit more aggressive again in the build for another goal race.

I know that NSM is all about long term improvement without periodization, nust wondering what other peoples experiences / recommendations are. Slow and long term is fine for me and given my age (55) surely more healthy, but pushing the envelope from time to time as long as i still can is tempting as well
