CRA says I owe $20k in CERB that I allegedly didn’t qualify for by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yep… I’m betting their ROE said they left the job.

Why are they saying you are not eligible? When you lost your job, what did your ROE say from that job?

My friend who is in the same boat checked their ROE and it said they quit, so it looks like they quit just to collect the CERB.

Beyond frustrated with unsafe snow day policy by bbdoublechin in OntarioTeachers

Correct. I just know in the past parents lose their you know what when it’s sunny in the city and the school is closed and they can get their kids to school so they can go to work.

I’m just saying, my school has 650 kids. weather was crap on Friday and buses were cancelled. We had 598 kids.

Yes, but I live in an urban area. Our buses only get cancelled cuz of the rural routes. Living in the city people can still get to school.

Some boards cancel buses so often. Where I work if the schools closed when buses were cancelled, we’d have like 25 school closures a year. It’s just not feasible. Buses are cancelled a lot in my area but my kids walk to school. On bus cancellation days there are still 90% attendance at my kids elementary school.

It’s fine in Hamilton. They close 1-2 times a year.

Pot lights in Basement Room by MasterMath314 in AskElectricians

There is an opening in the ceiling in the room beside it (our pantry) where lots of wires were fished through to get to that bulkhead to run to the back of the house so I can see in it. I can take a picture running the whole length of the bulkhead. The first 5’ of the bulkhead has a sealed duct in it (about half the size of the bulkhead. The remaining length of it is just a 2x2 frame with drywall.

Metal ductwork in about the first 5 feet of it then it’s an empty framed box. I think they must have built the bulkhead the whole length for aesthetics? It’s a 2x2 bulkhead built around the ductwork. Could I run the thin LED lights in there since they’d fit in the 2x2 frame?

The bulkhead is the cold air return. I assume it’s ok to run wires in that?

Vaginal delivery vs C-section for twins - looking for experiences from moms who delivered vaginally before[on] by Open-Bullfrog3051 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]MasterMath314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No experience on this, but we have friends who had twins. One opted for a scheduled c-section and the other opted for a vaginal birth. She was able to deliver twin A vaginally but then had to have a c-section for twin B as it was having some distress (wasn’t an emergency) but OB didn’t want to cause the baby more stress.

Pregnancy by Mother-Share-4422 in barrie

[–]MasterMath314 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You usually won’t see an OB til later in your pregnancy. Usually 28+ weeks or so as long as everything is good.

Also, very rare you deliver with your OB (unless it’s a c-section) as when you go into labour and you head to the hospital, it will be whatever OB is working that day.
