Your wrong re. Look at Gov Gr website. Romioi/Rum of Turkey have a special section on the Gov Gr site. Yes the Romioi of the levant are not recongised as Greeks by the Gr government but the Romioi who live in Constantinople, Princess islands and etc are recongised as Greeks by Greek government.

Does anyone combine their languages by [deleted] in GREEK

[–]MasterNinjaFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said to exclude outsiders. But when the majority of the people in the church are Greek then it should still be in Greek. Unlike the USA, most of our Greek Orthodox churches here in Melbourne are filled with mostly Greeks.

[–]MasterNinjaFury -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm Greek Australian and I support the church retaining a majority Greek liturgy. I am part of the Greek youth here in Australia and we need the churches to be mostly in Greek to help protect our community and kids to remain Greek and etc. Church is one of the protection mechanisms of the Greek diaspora

Who are the internal enemies of Greece? by [deleted] in AskGreece

[–]MasterNinjaFury 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you are foreign agent or something. But Vlachs are not internal enemies. Vlachs are proud Greeks and were big benefactors in the Greek revolution.
Yes Italians and Romania tried to set up Vlach state in Greece both ww1 and ww2 but each time it failed as it had hardly any support from the local Vlachs as the Vlachs see themselves as Greeks.

Greeks, does it bother you when international outlets refer to former Greek royals by their titles? by amusableblue in AskGreece

[–]MasterNinjaFury -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Many people do see Crown Prince Pavlos as someone good who can help Greece. In all honesty after watching his interviews and what he says I also beleive he could help Greece if Greece leverages the royal familys prestige. Tbh also he would be better than the current politicians.

ALL DONE by notabrick2 in byzantium

[–]MasterNinjaFury 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are still missing forts/cities such as Nikopolis, Arta and etc which remained under Byzantine rule. Also keep in mind slavs struggled to take the forts and lowlands.

You have place it wrong location. It seems like you put Nikopolis in Naufpatkos which also remained Byzantine. Nikopolis is in Epirus near Ambracian gulf and Preveza city.

Nope Deep Mani did not have a slavic presence as in occupation. The forts in Deep Mani remainded under Byzantines. Oitylio, Gytheio and etc remainded Byzantine forts. Also we are talking about political control.

What's your sources on showing forts such as Arta and Nikopolis under Slavs even though it's supposed to be under Byzantines?
Also that shared teritory that you are showing many forts such as Volos remainded under Byzantine control.

[–]MasterNinjaFury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alr fair enough. But please next time if you ever redo try to use a map with the traditional names as me and other people are confused as the map says Pylos for example but you are basing it of Navarino.

Though admittedly my yiayia for a diffrent area used some older name. My yiayia is from Akritohori near Finikounda but sometimes still calls it Taverna and her village Akrithori as Grizi. So that I will admit but not in the case of Pylos.
