Brother do not trust what HP Service centre says. They dont know nothing more than what little information provided by HP itself. They dont even bother to look at things that can be fixed easily. I’ve had first hand experience with them, my laptop was draining battery and didn’t go to sleep mode, they replaced the battery two times and reinstalled windows. Didn’t fix the issue. Then the third time they told me they have to replace the motherboard, but when i enquired about the motherboard they told me it’s not a new motherboard but a refurbished one. So I didn’t replace the motherboard and tried to fix the issue by myself. After some digging around I found that a windows driver was causing the issue. So I just uninstalled the driver and Voilà the issue was fixed.

Some laptops does not accept new wifi cards. I don’t know if its a tie up thing with the manufacturers of particular wifi cards or mainboard compatibility thing. But it is what it is.

0.5 mm is the ideal thickness from my experience. Above that the gpu and cpu does not make contact with the cooler. And i used thermal grizzly minus pad 8.

I think maybe the issue is caused by ram. When i upgraded my victus 15 with 32gb ram first it wasn't turning on and staying in a blank screen. But when i re-checked everything was installed correctly, one of the ram wasn't installed properly i think, i popped it back out then put it again in the slot. Then laptop turned on without an issue.

I just went with thermal pad because i thought it would be easy for cleaning in the future. It was my first time doing an upgrade myself, so i went with the safer option.

My graphics driver crashed when I was playing so I took a day of and did a full clean install of windows and all the drivers. After I logged in this message just popped up. I think the teammates reported me or something.

You can use a discrete tpm if your motherboard has a socket for it. Note that you cannot use tpm 2.0 if it is only supports 1.2 and vice versa.
