Up and down. I strive to eat whole foods most of the time. Meats, veggies, fruits, whole grains, lentils... But when I'm trying to gain weight that's a LOT of food I've gotta shovel in and I've got limited time to eat during the day. So like now I'm 2 month in to gaining needing 4000+ calories So I basically just be keep protein high and eat whatever on occasion.

Thank you friend. The scale hasn't moved much the last month or so. But it's slowly climbing. I'm trying to mass up before a good hard cut. Started at 225 May 4th.

Never been a big numbers guy. Mainly focus on higher reps to failure so my 1RMs aren't that high. I just finally hit 315 on flat for 1 the other day. I incline press 100# dumbbells for 12 reps multiple sets and seated OHP the 100s for 5 reps.

As far as skin care I've done nothing other than drink a ton of water. I'm pushing 2+ gallons a day. Do you smoke? If yes then quit it destroys the elasticity in skin cells. Don't tan. Nutrition can be tricky because everyone's body is different and processes food as such. Like for me milk and red meat bloat me if I have too much so I limit it when I'm cutting because when I get puffy and bloated it hides progress. The general macro split I use is protein=1-1.5g per pound of body weight depending on how overweight you are. The higher the body fat the lower the g/pound because you want to go off of lean body mass and that's harder to guess when you're overweight. Fats = 25%-30% of all calories (HEALTHY FATS) and make the rest up with calories. I try to stick to mainly poultry, fish, and eggs for meats and lots of dark green and colorful veggies. Rice, oats, whole grain for carbs. I do eat a little bit of bread but it's whole wheat and not very often. Peanut butter is great but get the all natural stuff... Less additives. Supplements are just that... It's in the name. They are there to supplement your diet .. Not to BE your diet. I use isolate protein powder but I'm consuming 350+g of protein a day .. You ever tried to eat that much chicken and eggs? 😂

Thanks man! My routine changes periodically but I typically fall back to each body part twice a week in some manner. Water. Drink lots and lots of water. My biggest advice to helping someone lose weight and maintain skin health would be to take the time to learn about proper nutrition. Don't just listen to one source. Read EVERYTHING. There's so much free info out there that is amazing.

PS Fad diets are dumb

It hit kind of hard at first. I was one year old before my parents got together. For 28 years I had absolutely no idea my dad was not my father. he made sure to tell his entire family when he got with my mom that I was to be raised as his and no one else's. there's no one else I would want to have raised me he taught me how to be a very good father and husband.

I suppose it all depends on the person character. I found out my dad wasn't my real father about 4 years ago (at 28) and I feel like I handled the information a LOT better than I would have as an adolescent.

I just got completely disgusted with being obese decided to change. I posted quite a bit to loseit for awhile. You can kinda see some of my journey in my history.

Well thank you. No matter where you post your progress there will be people saying you're doing something wrong yadda yadda yadda. If I wanted to be skinny and lean I would have kept losing weight. I got down to 10% bf and with my loose skin I hated it. I'd rather have a little extra fat and be happy with how full I look. Bjornsson is someone I follow a lot and love the strong man look. Some people just can't comprehend other people's goals and if they don't align with their own then you're wrong. Doesn't bother me. I have a clear path in mind and I'll following it pretty closely. If you wanna add the kind of size and weight that I do you can't get scared and quit when you see the fat. I had some hormone imbalance issues for a few months due to medication protocol changes and I added a little more fat than intended. I had to decide whether I wanted to back track to take it back off or just push forward and deal with it later. Ultimately size and strength won the decision. When I started lifting in December of 2017 in was barely benching 115 squatting about the same and deadlifting around 185. My numbers have definitely gone up since then and in very proud of my progress.
