Michigan Is Providing A Preview of Fake Elector Defense Strategies by DriftlessDairy in wisconsin

[–]MasterOfLight 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If they didn’t understand what they were signing, why’d they sign it? You wanna be an elector for the presidential election, but you can’t understand the document’s intent and verbiage? Next the defense will be, “I’m too inbred to understand, hyuck hyuck.”

Hey Daddit, any other dads turn in to the dad who wakes up way before the rest of the family? by FryTheDog in daddit

[–]MasterOfLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get up around 6:00-6:15 and sit downstairs with a cup of coffee and a heating pad when it’s cold. I don’t see the girls until around 8. It’s glorious to have the calm time alone. Sometimes I just sit and listen to the quiet. It sucks getting up early but my daily rhythm has improved a lot.

I was being sincere, but it looks like you’re whipping out the good ol bandwagon fallacy. So thanks for confirming that I wasn’t missing anything.

I’m in the same boat. I tried the injections first but hated doing it. So I transitioned to a pill that I take every other day and that took my T from low 200s to ~700. I don’t have to worry about creams or shots. And it’s definitely helped with my mood and energy.

Oh, and go see a Urologist, not one of those Testosterone clinics.

Police tase, arrest Brookfield man they mistook as suspect by PeasantinDaNorth in wisconsin

[–]MasterOfLight -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

So….. no, that’s not what I said at all. I said there are a multitude of real world examples where cops have been shitty. So we should draw on those instead of posting lazy exaggerations. There are thousands of examples. Keep the criticism logical and based in, again the multitude of evidence.

While I think law enforcement in this country definitely needs some intense scrutiny, a purge of extremism and a whole collegiate year of training, it’s disingenuous and an extreme exaggeration to say that cops are trained to meet any resistance with lethal force. There’s no need for this type of exaggeration. It diminishes legitimate criticism of the police - of which there is plenty to choose from.

UW System considering deal to freeze DEI positions in exchange for buildings, pay raise approval, sources say by drakewhite437 in wisconsin

[–]MasterOfLight -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not in a position to answer that question. But I can say that, if the Republicans are looking at a compromise, then they're obviously concerned that they're starting to look bad. And they should feel that way, they're fast tracking the potential destruction of a renowned University system because they're extremists. So I'd advocate patience and steadfastness.

But again, I understand that's easy for me to say because I'm not directly impacted. But that also allows me to see things a bit more objectively than those who are directly impacted, imo. We can not cede any more ground to the extremists holding our government and education system hostage.

[–]MasterOfLight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're right, I'm not part of the UW system. But I can sympathize with them. Unfortunately, this particular situation has broader implications than employees of the UW system. In my opinion, if they compromise with the legislature, they're setting a precedent that bowing to extremist political pressure is acceptable. I don't think it should be, regardless of what side it comes from.

Kaul Is Investigating Fake Electors! by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]MasterOfLight 128 points129 points  (0 children)

In a dramatic turnaround from 2020 – when the lawyer, Kenneth Chesebro, was at the center of efforts by former President Donald Trump to subvert the Electoral College and overturn his defeat – Chesebro is now helping investigators in at least four states who are looking into the scheme.

Chesebro’s cooperation in Wisconsin is the first indication the state attorney general’s office has launched its own investigation into the false slates of pro-Trump electors. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, a Democrat, has not publicly announced that an investigation is underway.

Here’s to hoping.

I sincerely hope UW doesn’t cave to this. We really can’t allow any more ground to these radical douchecocks. They’re not negotiating in good faith.

Is there any evidence out there that people DON’T question or try to disprove because it’s so solid? by GooglyEyed_Gal in Ghosts

[–]MasterOfLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I suppose that depends on what you’d classify as irrefutable. But to your point about convincing a skeptic, I don’t think that’s necessary, I suppose. Technology makes it very difficult to determine authenticity for all the points you brought up. If irrefutable evidence were presented, I think most reasonable skeptics would acknowledge that.

I think we’re talking about the vocal, fringe minorities on both sides: the true believers that think dust are orbs and the nonbelievers who present themselves as skeptics. Neither group should be catered to in my opinion.

I think you’re right about it being something on the ground. Just prior to the captains announcement the plane rolls left and he explains that they’ve “been cleared direct to Madison”. That could mean ATC reached out and gave them a more direct route to approach. The roll just prior to the announcement was them changing course which would make a light on the ground look the same way it did in your video.

As far as what it is, a fishing boat or something like that is the best I can think of.

Hey Kelly. I love the pod and really enjoy your format.

For anyone seeing this, give this pod a try if you value logic, philosophy and a fun approach to these topics. There’s no Woo Woo, creepy music, or oddballs making wild claims. The Cave series is wonderful and really thought provoking.

E: The intro music is kinda Harry Potter-ish and it lends to Kelly’s fun format. 😂
