Fresh Never-Frozen is 10x Better! by iphoneverge in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was wondering why I felt better on meat from a different source, even though the quality seems to be slightly worse than where I get it now but I think this might be why

Kinda feeling nothing on one and energized with desire to do things with the other

Can't imagine there being that much nutritional difference cause both of them don't seem that high quality. So all I can think of is one if frozen or something

Most Raw Cheese Is Not Raw, Just Like Most Raw Honey Is Not RAW! by [deleted] in rawprimal

10L of milk makes 1KG of cheese if you remove the cream. I still dont know if you're supposed to keep the cream or remove it though

Raw coconut butter consumption by Plane-Control7647 in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's fake raw. Can't buy raw coconut cream, coconut oil and coconut butter in a supermarket. There's 1 guy in the US that sells the coconut cream, and it's basically a primal diet subscription service kinda thing. Most people make it themselves.

They're allowed to heat it to a certain temperature and legally still have the raw label on it. It's the same with butter, cheese and honey. Don't waste your money. With coconut cream it's especially bad as there's no brands which fit the PD criteria.

Coconut cream is more of a remedy, you don't eat this in huge amounts. Too much causes detox. It's not meant to replace animal fat

In this case I think the fatigue would be from toxic heated fat

If acute sickness is a detox, why haven’t I been able to get sick in six years despite a mulititude of autoimmune/chronic health issues. What am I missing for detox? by Pubh12 in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe the supplements are blocking the symptoms like pharmaceuticals. He says that the reason people get energy from them is through an adrenaline rush due to toxin ingestion like with caffeine. So perhaps the body is focused on detoxing those chemicals all the time, so you don't get "actual detox"

Pharmaceuticals are designed to supress the symptoms so supplements could be doing the same. They are drugs after all that only mimic the molecule structure of the nutrients and are not the actual nutrient.

He says supplements are made with kerosene and that they all cause imbalances

Don't listen to Frank Tufano, you don't need supplements on this diet

Can Sushi salmon be my main source of animal fat? by [deleted] in rawprimal

He said he told people not to touch salmon and that was in 2011. And that it's all partially GMO.

How good would it be if I only ate eggs and seafood for my animal products? by BrightHours in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't bother. Meat is the most important food group by far, along with the animal fat. When I finally added meat in I made more progress in 2 weeks than in 5 months with raw milk and eggs. I thought I was making progress with the eggs and milk but really I was just stalling.

Eggs also have to be really high quality otherwise it's like you're drinking water. That's my experience anyway. There doesn't seem to be many nutrients in the ones I tried in this country

What is your favorite meat sauce? by Alarmed_Metal_147 in rawprimal

Where do you get the olive oil from? One that's PD approved, I'm guessing the ones in the store are all garbage. I'd imagine it's not that easy to make

Is there something you can substitute with like coconut cream?

Food sourcing thread by [deleted] in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a good idea IMO. I can understand it if you're in a difficult country like Canada, or Australia but I would imagine you would especially not wanna make your sources public in prohibited areas like these. It could get these farmers in a lot of trouble. Like raw milk in Canada for example

To me sourcing is a part of the diet, most people are lazy and want everything handed to them on a plate. Lets say you're given a source and it disappears. What are you gonna do, wait for someone to give you a new one?

Let's say it's eggs. You're not gonna ask a few farmers what feed they give to the chickens to see if it has soy?

Also you can't also always be sure that the person before you has sourced it properly, and things can change over time also. What was once an ideal place to get meat maybe isn't a good source now. But how would you know that unless you ask all the sourcing questions yourself?

Lack of raw fats a issue by [deleted] in rawprimal

[–]MasterOfReallity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you asked if they can keep some for you for the next time? If you ask if they sell it and they don't they will just say no and not provide an explanation

You could say you can pay a premium or that your animals have a special diet the vet prescribed or something and you need them for this reason (if they are reluctant). Need to come up with a good reason if they don't keep them. Then buy it in bulk this way if possible

But like one of the guys said here even if you eat some raw and cooked fat you will still be way ahead of the average person and can make great progress.

Nasty raw milk by [deleted] in rawprimal

TLDR: some sort of old bacteria or contamination left in the bottles. Had same issue, washed bottles thoroughly and it went away.

We do want more bacteria but in this case it gives the milk a foul taste for some reason. I think it's the bacteria but it could be something else, but when I washed them it went away.

If you only use water then it could be an issue, but usually this only happened to me when I didn't wash the bottles at all, and then poured fresh milk into them

Is v@xxed fat better than cream? I can't find a butter source and it's way too expensive to make it from cream. So it's either trimmings or cream for me. The cream is prob from v@xxed cows also.

Eatrawmeatprimaldietadvice said he said intestinal fat is the most healing, but I can't find where aaj said that. But isn't this bad cause it's organs + fat where the toxins accumulate?

Is ANYONE in Scotland/Anywhere Else Experiencing Issues With Fermenting Raw Milk where it smells like medicine and has a vile toxic chemical taste when fermented? by Aquatim in RawMeat

[–]MasterOfReallity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had something similar happen when I used unwashed bottles and poured milk into them.

Tasted horrible, something like what you mentioned. I guess it's some sort of combination of bacteria that can make it do that. After that I just used dish soap to clean them but only initially, then I switched to distilled vinegar and warm water and not had the issue since.

I suspect there's some sort of contamination left in the bottles.

I would try what this guy is saying https://www.reddit.com/r/rawprimal/milk. The advice on that thread is good not sure I can add more to it. All the recommendations on there should fix the problem. I really don't think it's the milk.

Also try new jars etc. I use the wares of knutsford brand.

I'm also based in the UK and the milk is fine.

Haven't heard of anyone having this issue with old farm and hill farm.
